@Theeyeballsinthesky

He’s a mealy mouthed hypocrite. He’s knows exactly what a woman is

Why is every political party in this country such a binfire?

And yes I’m sick to death of “the most marginalised evah” line. Ppl are sleeping on the streets, there are ppl with learning difficulties in care homes who haven’t seen their families in months, there are single parents living on benefits in mould infested shit holes. No one’s lighting up buildings for them are they? Or getting a list celebrities tweeting about how much help they need meanwhile every magic circle law firm & finance institution in the country along with the NHS, the media & local government are fully on board with TWAW

most marginalised ever my fat wobbly arse!!

I think thats one of the points, you can virtue signall without actally challanging anything that the wealthy care about.
Jaysmith71 · 26/09/2021 10:45

Conducting the debate 'in a proper and respectful way' by agreeing that the other side are in the right.

Yep. Back to my school RE lessons, where I got a detention for saying "This god of yours."

''Most marginalised'', but this whole thing has politicians like Keir here too scared to acknowledge that women have a cervix. Too afraid to tell the truth, and telling us we shouldn't tell the truth either.

So marginalised, but can get women sacked for telling the truth, or removed from uni and investigated for saying women have vaginas. Meanwhile we heard nothing more about the trans uni student posing with guns and implying Marion Millar should be shot, nor about the trans student reading his paper fantasising about holding a knife to women's throats.

Yeah, so marginalised, so oppressed. Hope Keir enjoys losing.

@Mollyollydolly

just waiting for him to post on twitter so a thousand women can post 'only women have a cervix' in the replies. Feck 'em.
I've done it already, didn't wait for him to post.
Whatdidijusthear · 26/09/2021 10:50

And this in a week when another WOMAN tragically murdered. But at least we’re not the most marginalised people in society eh?

Svalberg · 26/09/2021 10:50

@Judashascomeintosomemoney Rosie Duffield won Canterbury in 2017 with a majority of 187, and increased it in 2019 to over 1,800

Lettera · 26/09/2021 10:52

I was also disgusted at Starmer saying several times that Rosie Duffield would be safe at conference - in effect chucking her even further under the bus by implying very clearly that she's making a fuss about nothing. Angry

Limer · 26/09/2021 10:53

I saw this too, and am delighted there is already an excellent thread about it!

KS isn't stupid, but he's just parroting the usual Labour line of defending the smallest minority, without even considering the basic facts. Didn't Labour learn anything from Rotherham etc?

NecessaryScene · 26/09/2021 10:54

Can someone please explain to me how the ‘Trans community are the most marginalised community of all.’

Well, whenever they have a meeting, they have to arrange the location in secret, else they get hoards of women banging on the windows shouting. And then you get delegates at the Labour party conference demanding to know why on earth misogynistic hate groups were allowed to have a meeting.

No, hang on, that's not right. Hmm

AlecTrevelyan006 · 26/09/2021 10:55

It’s good that more politicians are being asked these questions

But I think it would be useful to ask ‘can a woman have a penis?’

Datun · 26/09/2021 10:55

At least now the general public have heard from two party leaders that the definition of woman is not adult human female.

The next question HAS to be then what the fuck is it?

CatsOperatingInGangs · 26/09/2021 10:55

Labour can go f*ck themselves, and I say that as a lifelong Labour voter.
Starmers days are numbered, AR is circling ready for the kill. And one thing is for certain, AR is not going to bring back any voters to Labour.
It’s makes me sad and furious in equal measure. The country needs decent opposition but this party isn’t it.

WouldBeGood · 26/09/2021 10:55

It’s just so depressing

Sophoclesthefox · 26/09/2021 10:59

Oh for fucking fucks sake, this is NONSENSE.

This is making women’s bodies unspeakable again. We’re not even done sorting out the inequality across multiple domains caused by the assumption of male as default (see “Invisible Women”), and we’re slamming the door closed on any possible further progress on that by idiotic restrictions on even naming women’s body parts.

Many women* do not have cervices. I am one of them. It’s invariably a horrible, painful story behind each and every one of those missing cervices.

Where is all the handwringing about us? Where is all of the accommodation? Where are all the rewrites of reality to make us feel better?

Only women have cervices. If among those number are people who do not care to be reminded of that, or a number of people who wish they were included, but are not, then that is on them to deal with, the same way that I have to deal with being repeatedly invited for smear tests on my non existent cervix. Reality will not change to accommodate them, and it is unreasonable to ask.

This is a profoundly idiotic stance for a leader of the Labour Party to take. This will not bring them power. Ever.

*by “women” I mean biological female, xx people.

PickAChew · 26/09/2021 11:00

I'm an atheist who took RE O-level. At no point was I sanctioned for my lack of Christian belief. I was (and still am) more of a Science and Maths type, though, and it pains me that so much of the science (and medicine) that I learned throughout school and university is now seen by so much of the establishment as "not a proper belief"

Blackandwhitehorse · 26/09/2021 11:01

Does he actually think this will win (or win back) votes?! Bizarre. Maybe they are going for the youth vote and don’t care about the working class vote anymore.

Judashascomeintosomemoney · 26/09/2021 11:02
@Judashascomeintosomemoney Rosie Duffield won Canterbury in 2017 with a majority of 187, and increased it in 2019 to over 1,800
Yes. I know. I live there. And 2019 was before her original tweet ‘crime’. She won’t win again in Canterbury if they need the youth vote from the campus to achieve it (they do).

WouldBeGood · 26/09/2021 11:04

There’s an interesting podcast by Russell Brand where he discusses how the left no longer represents the working class but has adopted other causes, such as gender ideology, and left their core voters adrift.

Bloke tells women what they should and shouldn't say.

timeisnotaline · 26/09/2021 11:06

@User135644
you'll never agree with any leader on everything. Democracy is hold your nose and vote or stay at home and don't bother.
This one is pretty fundamental. It’s whether one specific half of the population matter so much less than the other half that they don’t count as people and aren’t allowed to be described as what they are or talk about it. It affects the attitude showered on women from birth, it tells them daily to pull their head in as they don’t get safe bathroom spaces, changing spaces, healthcare, fair playing field in sports, as their person is disrespected and their rights disregarded and their boundaries eroded and the laws and bodies that run society don’t care. That’s pretty critical really.

Blackandwhitehorse · 26/09/2021 11:06

Ooh @WouldBeGood I’d be really interested to listen to that, quite enjoy Russell’s ramblings. Do you happen to know who the guest was?
