It's like a horror film. A woman is charged, erroneously. She objects. The charges are dropped, but she is now charged for objecting.

It is utterly terrifying.

The other five (unnamed) ones have been dropped. The other two tweets relate to after the police first told her to come for an interview for allegedly six offensive tweets.

No wonder it took so long for them to disclose to Marion what she was charged with, they appear not to have known themselves until much later.

How much police time has been/is being spent on this. Cost to the taxpayer? Can we ask this?

Teddy is the type of person to include their irrelevant medical information in their tweet - is this to emphasise their vulnerability and therefore their victim status as a person with a prescription?

Talk about shifting sands. Charged with things that are then dropped but other, unnamed offences are added to your charge sheet without your knowledge. Is this really standard practise?

Yes, it is actually. The point of a trial is to figure out which charges have anything to them and which don't. It is common for charges to be dropped during the trial.
