They were utterly convinced that they passed

Having seen several unconvincing pictures of that individual, it would be unlikely they wouldn't be clocked as soon as they fully came into view, but if they weren't paying attention and the duty bar manager (as this assistant manager was that night) was behind the bar and not directly serving then it's quite possible they didn't notice them.

@Rainbowshit

Women are going to have to start wearing body cameras when they go out to show what actually occurs rather than encounters being rewritten maliciously afterwards. 🤔
It wouldn't surprise me if feminists and GC women started to do just that.

If court cases are necessary to force policy makers into treating women fairly then evidence is crucial.

CharlieParley · 01/09/2021 08:31

It does state 200 protesters being present. That's impressive for a 10am women's rights protest on a Tuesday.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 01/09/2021 08:33

Good point, YetAnother.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 01/09/2021 08:36

Married at first sight UK.

Thank you Grin

WouldBeGood · 01/09/2021 08:37

It’s a total red herring anyway, no one cares who the bartender is or how they identify, you just want drinks and good service.

Being GC doesn’t mean you dislike trans people.

KittenKong · 01/09/2021 08:56

So obsessed that everyone is focussed on them.

Women have needed to do this for a very long time really.

Maybe men should routinely wear them, as the perpetrators as almost all violent and/or sexual crimes.

Check what colour of shirt you are wearing. Don’t want to frighten someone in Scotland

I wear purple a lot. Always have. And green. Dearie me - I never knew that I was leaving a wake of literal deid bodies in my wake...

Ereshkigalangcleg · 01/09/2021 09:25

You don't wear them... together?

littlbrowndog · 01/09/2021 09:27

Honestly kitten. Don’t you care. Just think of the trauma caused by the colour purple on a woman

ArabellaScott · 01/09/2021 09:27

@Ereshkigalangcleg

You don't wear them... together?
Shock

Not the in New Republic of Scotland, you don't! That is an offense, the polis woman said so!

When I Am Old.

When I am an old woman I shall wear purple
With a red hat that doesn't go, and doesn't suit me,
And I shall spend my pension
on brandy and summer gloves
And satin sandals,
and say we've no money for butter.
I shall sit down on the pavement when I am tired,
And gobble up samples in shops and press alarm bells,
And run my stick along the public railings,
And make up for the sobriety of my youth.
I shall go out in my slippers in the rain
And pick the flowers in other people's gardens,
And learn to spit.
You can wear terrible shirts and grow more fat,
And eat three pounds of sausages at a go,
Or only bread and pickle for a week,
And hoard pens and pencils and beer mats
and things in boxes.
But now we must have clothes that keep us dry,
And pay our rent and not swear in the street,
And set a good example for the children.
We will have friends to dinner and read the papers.
But maybe I ought to practise a little now?
So people who know me
are not too shocked and surprised,
When suddenly I am old
and start to wear purple!

Wonder if police Scotland will consider that a hate crime.

After all they said that if someone considered a T-shirt offensive to them then it is a hate crime

littlbrowndog · 01/09/2021 09:30

Aw nice poem

Yeah that police woman. 🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

KittenKong · 01/09/2021 09:34

Guilty as charged. Sometimes theses even a splodge of white. Well there certainly will be now
littlbrowndog · 01/09/2021 09:39

"Marion Millar was first charged under malicious communications but yesterday the actual law she is meant to have broken was changed to Criminal Justice and Licensing s38(1) and an incident that occurred after and because of the original police contact is included ….. "

Saw this on Twitter. Can anyone explain? Does this mean that original charge (ribbon tweet?) has been dropped and the charges are all to do with MM tweeting about her arrest?

SheldonesqueTheBstard · 01/09/2021 09:53

I’ve heard it all now.

No, the ribbon tweet is still there as one of three she is now charged with.

The other five (unnamed) ones have been dropped. The other two tweets relate to after the police first told her to come for an interview for allegedly six offensive tweets.

Datun · 01/09/2021 10:02

It's like a horror film. A woman is charged, erroneously. She objects. The charges are dropped, but she is now charged for objecting.

Yep. This is where we are. Insanity.
