Sorry if there's already a thread on this. I've been following it on twitter all day but didn't spot anything on Mumsnet.

The reporter quotes a lot of the TRA's tweets which they would probably love but I think the reporter's just given them enough rope to hang themselves.

I'm sure the average reader who hasn't followed the trans debate won't be impressed by someone who calls themselves an "AGP porn addict male" in their twitter bio.

I'm not going to respond to what I believe to be bad faith deliberate misrepresentations of what I've said. Apart from this response, obviously.

No leaflets were handed out, no stickers were put anywhere. Women were enjoying a good time after watching a fantastic walking show called Viva The Vulva, which I can highly recommend if you are in Edinburgh!

When making definitive pronouncements and accusations it is a good rule of thumb to check facts and evidence beforehand otherwise you end up looking rather silly.

Yeah, I'm reminded of the claim that 95% of people that answered the poll question 'transwomen are women' weren't aware that included those who still had willies. Where's the proof of that assertion?

That's just one claim in this thread I could've said 'evidence?' for.

The posting of that poll was of course me backing up a claim with evidence, something I apparently never do.

My judgement was based on what the bar manager was tweeting
Calling the women cunts and that TERFs were banned. That MM was recognised
The bar manager may have changed their story now but tweeted as it happened so I'm taking that as the truth
It paints the bar manager as a bigot who does not accept any view other than their own

I've got a relative who does this. Says two opinions, which are completely opposite to one another, and then afterwards makes a claim to which ever one fits the bill.

Were they or weren't they?
