Gay men being subject to abuse for their sexuality

Or Homophobia as we know it.

The belief that the trans-activists would stop by just attacking lesbians turns out to have been a miscalculation; gay men are a target now, and the community is only just starting to wake-up to the threat it is facing.

To be fair, Stonewall are bullies nowadays.

PurgatoryOfPotholes · 17/08/2021 17:03

Margarita, Margarita, Margarita.

Do you think you have a winning card here? Someone gave you this on twitter, didn't they, as 'evidence'?

The problem here is, that that tweet was about a woman who permitted her brother to rape her little girl. How can this be homophobia or transphobia, unless you think all child abusers are trans?

Do you?

Being a child abuser is not a protected characteristic. People are allowed to discriminate against child abusers, Margarita. If you disagree with that, a parenting site is not a good place for you to spend your free time.

MargaritaPie · 17/08/2021 17:33

"The problem here is, that that tweet was about a woman who permitted her brother to rape her little girl."

That sounds very serious. Source?

PurgatoryOfPotholes · 17/08/2021 17:34

Twitter conversation. Someone actually bothered to ask Marion, y'see.

PurgatoryOfPotholes · 17/08/2021 17:34

Are you claiming child abusers are inherently trans, Margarita?

Jorrris · 17/08/2021 17:35

Don't you believe it or something Margarita? Why don't you go and search for the rest of that tweet, that will tell you everything you say you want to know ☺️

MargaritaPie · 17/08/2021 17:38

"People are allowed to discriminate against child abusers"

I can't condone people going online and threatening to shoot mothers for any reason.

MargaritaPie · 17/08/2021 17:39

"Don't you believe it or something Margarita? Why don't you go and search for the rest of that tweet"

Do you happen to have the link handy? I'd gladly take a look.

I've done it for our friend here. The person who posted the original newspaper article got suspended, but unless you're genuinely transphobic, I can't see why you'd need to see the original news story she was responding to.

What kind of person would read a response like that about some form of child abuse and assume it must be about someone trans?

I could search through my links and find it for you. But I can't really be bothered. I probably would for someone who was genuinely interested. But you're not

Jorrris · 17/08/2021 17:48

PurgatoryOfPotholes that was nice of you to bother. Not that Margarita will be interested in the truth I'm sure, but are no doubt looking for another way to play it to continue to try and slur Marion's name instead.

MargaritaPie · 17/08/2021 17:48

So your source for the person Marion threatened was "a woman who allowed her brother to abuse her own child" is a tweet from Marion herself?

I was hoping for a news source confirming a conviction of said allegation.

Jorrris · 17/08/2021 17:49

Lol. Predictable as ever. You want to find out the truth Margarita, I suggest you invest a little time into finding it.

RufustheBadgeringReindeer · 17/08/2021 17:51

@MargaritaPie

"People are allowed to discriminate against child abusers"

Of course not

But you surely don’t think it’s transphobic or homophobic do you?

PurgatoryOfPotholes · 17/08/2021 17:52

Pretty solid witness evidence, I'd think.

So, you think that it was more likely that when a man and woman were involved in abusing a child, one of the adults was trans, than it is likely that neither were trans?

So you are certain that transgender child abusers outnumber child abusers without gender dysphoria?

This is literally the dictionary definition of transphobia.

FloralBunting · 17/08/2021 17:52

Is there a reason we are letting Mags here derail the thread to talk about an unrelated topic?

I think that seems like a waste of time. Perhaps Margerita would like to comment on the topic of the thread, rather than attempt a derail or reverse? What say you, Margerita, should gay men and lesbians be subjected to coercion and abuse for not being open to the possibility of same sex partners?
Should they have the right to organized based on their sexuality? Do be clear about your views so that readers and other posters know where you stand.

PurgatoryOfPotholes · 17/08/2021 17:55

This is a live court case, so we shouldn't comment further, but today has been very educational for me. I might need a shower after this thread.

Jorrris · 17/08/2021 18:02

Ahh see someone has been hitting the report button for allegedly hurt feelings. ☺️ You're right Floral. Best to ignore the derailers.

off to have a shower

Artichokeleaves · 17/08/2021 18:03

Are all the tweets about kerb stomping, dying in grease fires, 'your view' with natal males holding machetes and carving knives etc, rape threats, death threats etc etc all still up on Twitter?

No one taken to court over those?

Thought not.

PurgatoryOfPotholes · 17/08/2021 20:11

I came across this. Apparently slapping someone for saying they wouldn't have sex with someone isn't coercion.

Yeah it is. You can say no to having sex with someone for any reason, whether it's their sex, their taste in music or their habit of using Lynx products. Women, our bodies are not a resource to be fairly shared out between the male population, according to equality legislation. You're not a emergency water standpipe in the 1976 drought!

Now Aidan is justifying slapping women for saying they wouldn't have sex with someone from X or Y group. If women jumped through hoops to avoid saying it out loud, I wonder how long it would be before women's dating histories were scrutinised for evidence that they found X or Y group unattractive and they were confronted for the lack of past dating partners from X or Y group.

You don't have to have sex with anyone to prove you're not prejudiced against them. Ever. And someone who slaps you is using violence to coerce you into submission.

We are notobjects. We, the women, are people.

Jorrris · 17/08/2021 20:14

Wtf is wrong with these people. People can refuse sex with anyone for any reason they won't. And anyone who thinks it's acceptable to slap women for saying no are abusive violent arseholes.

Bloody hell.

No, Aidan, nobody has the right to slap someone for saying they won't sleep with them.

EmbarrassingAdmissions · 17/08/2021 21:34

No, Aidan, nobody has the right to slap someone for saying they won't sleep with them.

I thought we might all get behind the very basic notion that nobody has the right to slap anyone for anything.

The search for the lowest common denominator on which we can all agree must continue.
