Isn’t this just reflective of the whole TRA situation though.

Anyone who doesn’t like having their speech coerced, their sex-based legal rights and safe spaces encroached on, or being threatened with violence for their views is “transphobic” - when in reality they have no issue with people being trans. Just with being bullied, threatened and controlled by an ideology, and with being expected to live by someone else’s beliefs.

Likewise if you behave illegally and boast about it, and get dropped, that’s because of your behaviour, not being trans. Is KB really publicly claiming to be so dim as to not be able to grasp that?

Hope Kathryn keeps on bringing the sunlight though.

So the Green Party have had Challoner and Bristow silencing / controlling and banning women. Bristow green party women members have been barred from commenting or posting in their own space. Didn't Bristow report green party to the women too or have I got that wrong? how can you trust the Green party not to repeat this pattern forever?

I guess give the current climate its only natural that Bristow thinks that lying, incompetence and burying stories is a part of the job.

With the scary Climate news today we need parties focused on it and the Green party needs to get its act together.

There seems to be a belief amongst some particularly vocal trans women that any bullying, narcissistic and even illegal behaviour will be ignored and even indulged because they are trans. Often, of course, they are right. But not always.

That fae thing and the 'gender euphoria' seems to be about fitting in/ finding a thing that resonates with you and others are like you.

I remember the first time I heard a pixies song I felt euphoric, I suppose. A feeling of omg yes this is it. This is just incredible. And there's a whole group of people who like this sort of music. I've found my people!

S lot of this is about tribes isn't it. We had our own dress style, group name/s, clubs, pubs etc. For many young people I think that's all it is.

The kids who have various gender IDs are often the same sort who were into alternative music scenes.

Lets hope this doesnt tie the Green Party up in knots for the foreseeable. The whole trans thing has been a complete sink for them for some time now, and it isnt as if the climate emergency didnt need some of their attention. They will be twitchy after Challenor, so this may mean they dont walk straight back into a burning building this time but who knows.

How many people have left the Green Party because of your behaviour? If you cared anything AT ALL about the planet you would resign.

I agree about tribes, but with trans ideology it's gone further in that it's been successfully pushed as a wonderful positive thing that must be approved and adopted by institutions and the public. Trans people must be praised and admired and are terribly brave because of the terrible persecution they endure. No nastiness by them counts, they can issue death and rape threats and everyone pretends not to notice, you just have to say you're trans and you're automatically in the right and must be tiptoed around.

Of course there's pushback but I think this weird culture of unassailability and being the ultimate in cool and "in" is what makes it appeal to so many people including of course so many young and insecure or unhappy people.

Whereas your old-fashioned "tribe" was usually inherently a counter-culture or niche thing.
