www.southwarknews.co.uk/news/exclusive-three-more-women-attacked-by-knife-wielding-suspect-in-east-dulwich/

From the article:

"Today (June 15) a 53-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent and remains in custody while enquiries continue.

Police say they believe she is the only suspect, and had initially been mistaken for a man. "

Who had mistaken her for a man. The police? The victims?

Can someone please tell me why this is male attire. Cargo trousers and a hoody?

I dress like this often and I'm a woman. Am I now a trans man? I'm soooo confused!!

And angry, very very angry.

imagine this person in court & being id by witness
lawyer "Now you are saying you were strangled by a man or a woman - your child says one thing & as you can see they are definitely a woman"
..."

Did you know that the Police are concerned about violence against women and girls? Did you know that they want us to contact them and to trust them? Did you guess, like me, that they were too busy putting on their rainbow garb for pride month to have time to respond to attacks on women?

toffeebutterpopcorn · 16/06/2021 08:47

I have acquired some of DSs old school sports tops (he didn’t wear them and they are good quality) so I wear them. They are for a boys school. Clothes are clothes.

Craig John Hauxwell, 48, also known as Lisa Hauxwell, was sentenced in his absence to 14 years in prison last year for two rapes and seven indecent assaults. - The Northern Echo 2017

I feel like I'm going to explode with rage. As I understand this person is currently attacking and strangling women in Derbyshire and police are giving a confusing description of them!

What the fuck!

Why are trans people's feelings worth more than the actual lives of women?

I guess they will be housed in a female prison with no safeguarding measures for the female prisoners?

More and more determined not to roll over that take this.

MrsOvertonsWindow · 16/06/2021 09:11

And these crimes will be attributed to women Sad Angry

I think you're confusing the current issue, in Dulwich, with this egregious example of misreporting in Derbyshire from a few years ago. I think hauxwell was eventually caught despite the misleading reports.

@EyesOpening

Slight derail - The other day I was saw a man with his kids who were practising their cycling. They went up near a person and the dad shouted out (he was quite far away) "mind the lady!" and when they got back he asked if they had thanked the lady. It was quite (un)remarkable that he could see her pronoun badge tell that far away and it made me think how everyday it is that we do this
I do this all the time, but oft get it wrong because it's been a while since I've managed to bag an appointment with an optician.

From a distance I once mistook a 6 foot tall bald man for my 5 foot tall brown haired mum.

Hid my embarrassment though as I walked past him after not long since waiving at him at shouting MUM MUM IM HERE.

This was actually on my way to an opticians appointment as well.

PaleGreenGhost · 16/06/2021 09:20

The police system seems deeply messed up and requires a massive overhaul. Not least to weed out their own abusive officers.

Let us not forget though, that the politically correct "feminist" response is to completely defund them and release all female identifying prisoners even rapists (Sisters Uncut) and also ideally not to even call them in the first place if one is a white woman (Oxfam).

Also this never happens and when it does there's no point in single sex spaces because rapists gonna rape anyway.

AgathaAllAlong · 16/06/2021 09:34

@ErrolTheDragon do you know more - did he serve time and now is released and doing it again?

This whole thing is disgraceful and dangerous to women who need to be on the lookout for a potential attacker. The privilege of men who get to walk the streets feeling safe, and get to dictate how we should feel and talk about our safety, is staggering.

JustcameoutGC · 16/06/2021 09:38

A local forum has threads detailing all the assaults. They all say young male, 20s. The police say they have arrested a 53 year old woman apparently. I think we need to reserve judgement on this one. Something is not quite adding up.

Search East Dulwich Forum, you can read the accounts first hand.

Hallyup6 · 16/06/2021 09:44

And?

Why is it even relevant?

There are plenty of well-built women with short hair that could easily be mistaken for men, especially in a situation where the victim is panicking I'm sure this story is fuck all to do with gender identity. Stop making it something it's not.

The fact the police didn't attend is the bigger issue.

NecessaryScene · 16/06/2021 09:52

I'm sure this story is fuck all to do with gender identity

So you think the attacker is female?

Do you accept bets?

TheTuesdayPringle · 16/06/2021 09:53

@toffeebutterpopcorn

Eh? I think if someone was trying to murder me, I’d be close enough to be pretty damn sure about their sex.
Maybe you wouldn't. How can you know until it happens? These people will be able to tell us one day.
toffeebutterpopcorn · 16/06/2021 09:54

Would the police take more seriously reports of a man throttling a woman, or a woman throttling a woman?

Ian’s it wasn’t that long ago that the police wouldn’t bother to come out to ‘domestics’.

Erikrie · 16/06/2021 09:54

Do you accept bets?

Id lay a healthy bet on the sex of the perpetrator being exactly as the victim described.

NecessaryScene · 16/06/2021 09:56

Why is it even relevant?

It's relevant because I think the police are lying, and I don't think the police should be lying.

Even if they're not lying in this case, which I doubt, their behaviour where they've lied a lot of times in the past has now led me to believe there lying, and I don't think police should be making people think that they're lying.

Is that unreasonable?

TheTuesdayPringle · 16/06/2021 10:01

The story is clear that a way was attacked in the street by a complete stranger who she identified as a man. Police did not attend because they were busy on other calls. During the flowing couple of days, three more women were attacked at exactly the same place and all identified their attacker as male.
An arrest has been made and the suspect identified as female.

This tells us a number of things

Someone is crazy violently attacking women in east dulwich
The person appears to be male but is female
The police are so under resourced that they cannot attend attempted murders in this area at times

AlfonsoTheMango · 16/06/2021 10:04

@Erikrie

Do you accept bets?

Id lay a healthy bet on the sex of the perpetrator being exactly as the victim described.

And I'd lay a healthy bet on the attacker having a Y chromosome.
NecessaryScene · 16/06/2021 10:07

The person appears to be male but is female

Again, do you take bets? I'm betting the person is male and calls themselves a woman.

I think this is significantly more likely because (a) all witnesses described them as male after close-up encounters, where their build would have been obvious, (b) males are far more likely to be commit this sort of crime, and (c) we know the police will lie about men's sex and call them women on demand.

NecessaryScene · 16/06/2021 10:08

Oh and (d) men are increasingly aware there is a lot of upside to saying they're women. Particularly if they're an offender.

AlfonsoTheMango · 16/06/2021 10:10
