The simple answer of what trans activists are doing to change this abusive culture is nothing.
Your answer is raw and honest.
I do want to say though that listening to your experiences and other trans people's experiences when they take the approach to talk rather than educate does more for trans activism than any other 'activists'. It is through these interactions with trans people willing to listen and discuss that allows us to move towards solutions.
So, thank you for what you do and for your continued presence here. Just your voice reminds us that there IS so much disparity amongst trans people themselves.
I mean, just on this thread we have a trans person stating female is a gender identity and that it is all very complicated vs a trans ally who has just stated Well no one follows gender stereotypes anymore so there isn't much to it other than wanting to be called a woman and having she/her pronouns. (Again, thanks ASugar, that has really made it all clear.)
I just want to get on with my life in peace and wish this would all stop tbh. From an utterly selfish point of view, this affects me just as it affects women. People like me are being tarred with the same brush as the others in the community and it's wearing
I think that it is hugely important that more people recognise that there are voices such as yours to be heard. I know that many regular posters on FWR do understand the trans activism, as a term, covers a wide range of beliefs and stances.
