Knew this would happen, had to turn down job

I'm furious, have been out of work for a while. Was offered a temporary contract writing and implementating policy for a public sector organisation. Just up my street and would really have helped us out. Turns out they're Stonewall champions and are full on TWAW and have all rights to anything they want. I asked to review some of their current policies and it's all cisgender crap and lists of stuff we must and mustn't do to make all Trans people safe. We'll I've obviously had to turn down the role and worse I told the recruiter why so will probably never get a job through them now. There are companies out there that haven't bought into all this crap aren't there?

I was gobsmacked that two bright 15yr olds genuinely believed that humans could change sex.

I have seen evidence of this with young adults. It's quite a worry.

What evidence was this?

I'm getting very worried about the implications for sex education.

It was bad enough explaining to teenagers that yes sex could still result in pregnancy if you "did it standing up", and all the other old canards without adding "yes, even if the one with a penis now identifies as female".

Because even though have made it completely about you, all of my points were to OP.

Oh. Well you used my name in that post so I automatically thought you were talking to me. Normally that's how people interact with eachother. I use your name... you use mine...

Now you do have a confusing way of interacting with people. I'll bear that in mind though that the communication rules have changed here... to reduce the confusion. 🤔 ☺️

@Trixie78 just to say I admire you for sticking to your principles and putting your money where your mouth is. Actions like this speak far louder than words so cheersWine.
I also agree that it is a concern that people in a difficult financial position may not have the ability to stick up for their principles in the same way but I hope they do find a way.

You show me someone who claims that a teenager actually believed a biological man can give birth and said please say pregnant people and il show you a liar.

We understand trans. You might not like it, but pretending you don't understand it is not on.

Crickey the conversation moved on a bit while I got the kids sorted out. I had a lovely couple glasses of wine thank you and set up an interview for next week (in a very different organisation).
