Does Jameela know that it's estimated 800 girls a day are subjected to FGM? Without anaesthetic? Their genitals cut off? That girls die of it?

The language she uses is so unnecessarily inflammatory. Why is she so desperate to pitch a battle between two sides? Do you think she imagines herself as the brave and beautiful saviour of the needy?

If they ever were, I'd imagine that doctors at some point realised that stopping puberty entirely was not an appropriate response to the problem of heavy periods. A bit like how a lobotomy is not an appropriate response to a headache.
