"I'm going to dump a whole tub of period diarrhea on them"

Charming tweet Hmm

I mean, how far is this going to have to go to appease; are we going to have to redefine biological functions to suit? Arrrgggh Gin

Can I add flatulence to the period ‘extras’? Blush

Oh god that’s gross....

I wonder if you could actually sell real period blood though....you could make a killing!

PurpleRainDancer · 12/04/2021 10:04

@Mugginyouleftrightandcentre

So now 'period' just means whatever a male wants it to mean now too? In this case, irritable bowel?
This

I second this ⬆️

Now there's a business idea. It's the next step from selling unwashed used knickers.

StillRunningUpThatHill · 12/04/2021 10:40

I used to get period diarrhoea before having children. I have endometriosis and have uterine lining cells growing in my bowel, so they would bleed at the same time as my period. Combined with cramps in my bowel at the same time as uterine cramps, and I’d have bloody diarrhoea. Oh, and the uterine cells also grew on my bladder, so when I had my period I also felt like I had really bad cystitis too. Couldn’t pee without being in agony for five days a month. Luckily and miraculously for me, I was able to conceive and my symptoms improved massively following pregnancy. Many women aren’t that lucky.

Don’t even begin to tell me a TW knows what that feels like. And why would they even have a few days of it every month when they take a constant supply of hormones? That doesn’t even make sense.

Soubriquet · 12/04/2021 11:09

Imagine declaring that to the tax man though....

“I see you’re paying tax for a home business. May I enquire as to what your business is?”

“Oh I sell period blood”

Think the poor person would back away slowly Grin

GoingThruTheMotions · 12/04/2021 11:10

^So when I had my period I also felt like I had really bad cystitis too. Couldn’t pee without being in agony for five days a month.^

Omg I have the same thing. It's never been explained and I have always been dismissed by doctors. I wonder if that's it. Presumably there is no cure?

StillRunningUpThatHill · 12/04/2021 11:17

GoingThruTheMotions the “cure” for mine was pregnancy. No idea how or why, but I suffered for years and once I’d had a baby, it was so much better. I appreciate that’s not exactly a feasible cure for lots of people though. I was under gynaecology at the time and if I hadn’t been TTC they would have operated to try and remove the endo although I’m not sure how successful the surgery typically is. But worth going to your GP for the conversation. It is truly a horrible thing to experience.

Utter madness - (awaits final warning from Mumsnet)

Biological sex change is impossible.
"trans women" are biological males who dress as, and ID as female.
Only biological females, and some intersex ppl, can menstruate.
Sad that society is even fearful of giving facts to people.

TRANS WOMEN, biological men, DO NOT HAVE PERIODS.

Having estrogen, and "feeling" that your mood swings, is not the definition of having a "period" - how are these ppl missing reality. And yet they call me the bigot and I get banned.

They think periods are fun? WOW .. their mothers need to have a word with them

GoingThruTheMotions · 12/04/2021 11:46

I've just had a baby and did notice it's lessoned but not completely gone. I have tried for years to have doctors take it seriously. They're not interested.
I'm glad someone else has this though as thought it was just me (some doctors have implied it's psychological but I don't think I'd sit in the shower in agony for kicks each month!)

Nameitychangity · 12/04/2021 11:56

Adding my voice to those above, its incredulous isn't it? Ive spoken about this before, but there are many many YouTube vidoes from transwomen claiming that they have periods and shouting down anyone who says its impossible. There's many claim they have PMT every month, cramping, headaches, emotional feelings/crying, acne, and even morning sickness! It's like they have read every bad teenage magazine and appropriated the feelings and ideas from there.
I'm always interested to hear what is actually 'cramping' given that there is no uterus? And given that the hormones are at a steady level (as they are synthetic cross sex hormones given at a steady dose) how are there 'monthly' cycles in a regular pattern?
One might even say its a bit of an obsession with some TWs, as if it 'proves' and validates their femininity.
Science and biology tell us that biological men cannot have periods.
They do not. They never will.
Such is the fascination with the process that there are also sites instructing on how to create 'period' blood, and further into the dark side, those who raid the sanitary bins in the ladies toilets for used sanitary products. God knows what they do with them.

No uterus, no period. Simple.
Oh and for the inevitable cries of "what about women who don't have periods?"............they're still women.

Is this really happening guys? I think there may also be a reason why gynaecologists don't see transwomen. Could it be that they have no female reproductive organs or a natal vagina? And therefore no reason to seek the medical assistance and knowledge of a doctor who specialises in such? Sigh.....

Melroses · 12/04/2021 18:07

No Tracker Apps for people who do not menstruate.

Really terrible Sad

Hahahaha! Fucking hell wow!

Is that for real? Oh please link to the original post.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 12/04/2021 18:20

Goodness.

334bu · 12/04/2021 18:20

Taking medication which is unsuitable for the male body will probably make a person feel awful. Has nothing to do with periods though so what are they tracking?

YouNoob · 12/04/2021 18:49

Are there even any evidence based, peer reviewed research on men taking female hormones to see if (and how) the hormones effects their mood?

Kenshi · 12/04/2021 18:52

@YouNoob

To be fair there's probably already more of such studies been done than there are studies on the hormones of actual women.
Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 12/04/2021 18:54

It's hateful to do research into these novel medical treatments, @YouNoob. Even mentioning the idea is evidence of wrongthink, and I'm afraid you will have to be cancelled and your house razed to the ground. I'm sure you understand.

I shall have to flee the country for even suggesting such a thing.

The tweet says
The Body Shop (BS) has picked a natal male who IDs as a woman to talk about period shame in India, where 23 million girls drop out of school due to it. The person said they buy sanitary pads for 'excess vaginal discharge'. BS thanked them for raising awareness to 'menstruators'

^^
This is awful. The world has gone barking mad.
