Mermaids et al are arguing to de-medicalise the process of obtaining a GRC. i.e wanting to remove the requirement for people to be experiencing distress.

Another speaker has said that obtaining a GRC should not be a trivial matter and the legal process needs to be robust.

They consistently misrepresent what Spousal consent means in practice.

The argument seems to be it's ok for the trans person to change the terms of the marriage but it's not ok for the other party to object.

Listening. I just can't believe that someone who climbed up the ranks of BA and become a pilot as a man thinks they can then say they are a woman AND then BA sends this person to schools to speak to girls about becoming a pilot. Do these people really think our young people are stupid?

FFS - if you make a fuss if trans woman is in the ladies you are breaking the law.

All women are affected by a man using single sex facilities.

Women's spaces being discussed and that people have been saying transwomen unsafe. Saying they aren't and only one study. Saying age matters? Older trans people more likely to offend but the younger ones don't have criminal convictions. Low level criminal actions because they weren't in mainstream - who the hell is she. Trans inclusive can work extremely well.

Boy are they being polite! EA2010 important part of overall conversation. Talks to police trainees - they all do. Apparently - did you know that just going in for a pee doesn't commit any offence but a cic (forgive me) woman raising a fuss is committing a crime?????
