Superstraight is trending on twitter. No I hadn't either.

Its a subcategory of straight that means that straight people can now be included in the lgbtqi+ categories. Or something. Hooray! Fight for my superstraight rights too Stonewall!. Or something

Apparently the boy got death threats but kept up the video (on tiktok) but when his mother started getting death threats and trans activists were using the Internet in an attempt to destroy her business he realised the video had to come down.

@littlbrowndog

I don’t see it as parody at all

It’s reclaiming

I agree. I'm deadly serious.

But you can still have fun while being deadly serious.

Civil right movements don't have to be all angry hair, violent imagery and rape threats.

Especially when certain egos are so inflated, a few sharp pokes with rapier wit suffices.

AfternoonToffee · 08/03/2021 18:42

Why do the GCs always end up ultimately on the same side / in the same place as the far-right?

Already possibly been mentioned but I would look very carefully at who is riding in the wind tail of the TRA's before chucking the first stone.

WoolOfBat · 08/03/2021 18:51

Have we really come to a stage where condemning rape threats, death threats and sexual coercion/violence just is a common, decent value judgement?

I would have thought that the difference in political affiliation would be on the consequence/punishment. With the right suggesting a prison sentence and the left compulsory mental help/intervention.

Regardless of who you are, rape and murder is wrong. That has nothing to do with any ideology, religion or identity.

HermitsLife · 08/03/2021 19:11

I must say I found the transplaining yesterday really irritating, but on reflection it did clarify a lot for me.

  1. When people are so immersed in gender ideology they forget that sexual orientation is a primal instinct and so the idea that most people are attracted purely by sex is a foreign concept and a lot of people are offended by things they don't understand.

  2. Many male born people do not understand female sexuality, they see warm body with orifices, receptacle for sex and nothing more so the concept that those receptacles are fully formed humans with their own needs, desires and preferences might not be into them is offensive in the extreme.

I was wondering why I was getting a strong sense of de'ja vue in those interactions (but I'm old and its been some time) and then I realised that every woman whos gone past puberty has experienced that kind of interaction time and time again, and I wish I could say more without being deleted but when you know you know.

Solidarity with my Superkin

Also when did sexuality become a political statement?

Since men found a way to make gay women sleep with them by accusing them of being transphobic

Which rather undermines the entire concept of attraction based on gender of course.

JohnRokesmith · 08/03/2021 19:28

@Lisz

Why do the GCs always end up ultimately on the same side / in the same place as the far-right? There's a hollowness behind the 'laughter' (such as it is) and these bursts of fake-outrage never last more than a couple of weeks anyway ('straight pride' etc). It hardly seems worth gettng into bed with the 4Chan fratboys, i mean if only for sake of one's dignity if nothing else.
It’s interesting how political definitions changes

Far-right politics in the 1940s:

  • Against democracy
  • In favour of censorship
  • Thinks women should know their place
  • Hostile to Jews
  • In favour of political violence for the right causes

Far-right politics now, in the minds of the woke:

  • In favour of democracy
  • Against censorship
  • Supportive of women’s rights
  • Accepting of Jews
  • Rejects violence

It’s almost like the term “far right” is being thrown around without any reference to political ideas...

HermitsLife · 08/03/2021 19:30

Same old song eh Soubriquet?

And yes 7days the queering of language is really disturbing to me. Separating what we are expected to believe from what we know is true and its done purposefully to distract and confuse.

nauticant · 08/03/2021 20:15

If you are in the mood for a good laugh, have a look at this:

where some trans activist gamer rants about #superstraight, actually you only need a minute or two of the inane 15 minute rant, and then read the comments in reply. The poor youtuber has not got a clue how on earth to answer the replies. Even his wife who joined in was equally lost.

Strikemepink · 08/03/2021 20:23

👌🏼

Soubriquet · 08/03/2021 20:27

God that video has kicked off hasn’t it

BelleHathor · 08/03/2021 20:34

Comment from the video "Making vids like this is literally going to get superstraights hurt or worse. I dream of a day when superstraights can walk down the street without fear of being attacked."
The Matrix has well and truly been broken laughing 😂 🤣

nauticant · 08/03/2021 20:34

It is spectacularly unedifying and I laughed like a drain going through the comments. They get personal and nasty at one point but I did enjoy the insight into how this is going down outside of our bubble.

Strikemepink · 08/03/2021 20:39

Sorry not sure what happened with my comment, I was trying to quote the comment regarding using the sub prefix, I love it!

minchinfin · 08/03/2021 20:45

I think I might be suprastraight

Wow that YouTube man sounds horrible. He wants to punch a teenager. Gross.

SirSamuelVimes · 08/03/2021 20:50

Ha those comments are great. Loving seeing superstraight, supergay and superlesbian guys and girls standing up for each others' rights.

Go superfamily!

aliasundercover · 08/03/2021 20:57

I really, truly, have no idea why my post was deleted.

@JohnRokesmith - I was basically saying what a goo post you made.

MarieFromStTropez · 08/03/2021 20:57

For the first time in my life I have no idea which party I'd vote for.

I am the same. Always voted Labour. It’s too of woke misogynists and anti-semites now.

The angry and violent response to superstraight really demonstrates the adage that loosing privilege can feel like oppression.
