Do you watch porn?

I've been reading a convo on Twitter where several people are claiming - including a woman - that women watch porn as well as men. My first reaction is, this isn't true. Sure, I've watched it from time to time, usually in the company of men, but it's so boring, so divorced from real sex/real bodies, that I'd almost rather do anything else.

Am I wrong? I realise I'm asking a group of women who are probably going to have a more cynical view of pornography, but I'm having a hard time believing women have a porn habit even remotely comparable to men's.

I have and I think a lot of women, on here specifically, are really naive thinking that it's just men who do. Women masturbate too, obviously.

Yes but you have no idea what kind of porn I or any other woman on this thread would choose to watch. I could say 'it's ethical porn' but if you are anti-porn in general, which I suspect you are, it's just not going to matter!

Yes. Always thought there must have been something wrong with me, maybe too much testosterone or something. Then I realised, many other women are probably just put off because they think they are not supposed to be turned on by it. If you give yourself the chance, I think most people would enjoy some form of porn.
I am a total hypocrite though because the thought of my partner watching porn fills me with jealousy, but I know he does, so il have my cup too.

Back in the 70s it wasn’t so readily available. First Husband and I occasionally bought a top shelf mag and that was quite exciting because it was ‘naughty’.

Yes. Gay porn. A lot of gay porn is made for a female fan base and when you look at some of the more popular stars and their Twitter followers, it's predominantly women.

I don't. I watched about twenty minutes of it about ten years ago, not knowing about any of the ethical issues, and found it very dull and quite a turn-off. If I want filth I prefer to read it.

Sidebar: I'm always puzzled when it's said that the reason so many women strip off their body hair now is to match the women they see in porn (apparently hairless ladyparts make the willies look bigger) . Because (a) that means that all those women must watch porn, and I didn't think that many did - but maybe it is a generational thing? and (b) the women in porn all seem to be really, really, unattractive in that very plasticky way. But then I haven't seen much. Hmm.
