From Facebook, I guess he has picked a side.
51% of the population just don't count.

Men who "have minds of their own" have no skin in the game whatsoever, so it's all theoretical to them, and they tend to just not understand why women can't "just be more nice"
I didn't mention men having minds of their own.
I was talking about women.

As a result GC feminists do tend to be female
Didn't say they weren't?

BlackWaveComing · 21/11/2020 22:49

As expected. Whatever, jj. I already knew you have zero respect for women and our space.

Quaagars · 21/11/2020 22:51

I don't post on trans forums, or trans rights forums. Can't you just respect this is a space where women mostly want to hear from other women?

This is just such crap, sorry.
You (general you) only want to hear from women with views who align with yours.
If women don't tow the "GC line" then they get treated with suspicion.
Regardless of whether they think women should have an equal standing in society, whether it be via pay or whatever, or completely against abortion rights being taken away, FGM etc

Quaagars · 21/11/2020 22:53

I think many people here have a problem with anyone who disagrees with gender critical attitudes towards trans issues posting here - which is why plenty of women are treated in a pretty similar way to the way trans people are here if they are not 100% on board with gender critical ideology

This, and true, just what I was trying to say really

I want to hear from feminists, on feminism and women's rights. What it says on the tin.

Strangely enough, I don't want to hear from people with a fervour for men's rights. I'd find a men's rights forum if that were the case, a place I'd suggest several of you might feel more appreciated.

Escapeplanning · 21/11/2020 22:54

Do Keir and Angela approve of the "fight" women had to endure attending a Labour fringe conference meeting in Brighton last year? Sounds like they do, they are telling us it's their fight too.

And the "fight" at the Labour women meeting at Grenfell. That's his fight too?

And paying to fight us in court over all women shortlists? That's your fight too?

Thanks for letting us know.

averylongtimeago · 21/11/2020 22:54

ACanOfBeans: "Trans rights are human rights, but they’re not women’s rights."

This.

Why is this so difficult to understand?

Well said Babdoc

Quaagars · 21/11/2020 22:59

It's not a troll to disagree with you FFS.

jj1968 · 21/11/2020 23:01

So anyone who doesn't support the GC position is not a feminist I take it. If Judith Butler, Angela Davies, Catharine MacKinnon, Naomi Wolfe or Margaret Attwood turned up you'd want them expunged too for not being feminists?

Escapeplanning · 21/11/2020 23:03

I want to hear from feminists, on feminism and women's rights. What it says on the tin.

That's what I want too.

gardenbird48 · 21/11/2020 23:11

I don't know, but maybe human rights?
Right to live your life as yourself instead of feeling you have to hide?

The thing that would have been really nice for Sir Keir to address as part of anti-bullying week is the fact that human rights charity Amnesty International sees fit to join the attempt to remove women’s basic human rights in Ireland. It is lovely that he is worried about Brazilian trans sex workers but Irish women might need some help too.

Wasn’t he some sort of human rights lawyer??

Quaagars · 21/11/2020 23:15

Using the "define" word that's usually used as an argument.
Define feminist.
Is anyone against FGM not a feminist? Just because they don't agree that trans women aren't women?
That we shouldn't have equal pay to men?
That we should have the right to an abortion as it's our bodies?

Trans rights are human rights, well of course they are. However trans rights seem to be higher on the list of priorities than women's rights. The minority of trans know damn well what they are doing. Starmer is making an absolute arse of himself trying to be "inclusive" while simultaneously alienating half the country.

EddieSpaghetti · 21/11/2020 23:30

I may add, I say this as a victim of a penis owner, whether he was wearing trousers or a skirt, he owned that equipment that he assaulted me with. So no, I will not share my safe space with him just because he wears lipstick

Quaagars · 21/11/2020 23:30

I know it is.
I never said it wasn't, not sure who else has said otherwise either

Quaagars · 21/11/2020 23:37

Thinking aloud, but it's all such a huge mess

I may add, I say this as a victim of a penis owner,

Understandable if been assaulted in the past, would think this way

Although even if you've been assaulted by a 'penis owner", why does that relate to that means all of them?
Not to you, just in general.
Surely it comes down to the individual regardless of what group you are

It absolutely does not mean all of them, however I appreciate a safe space. I am in no way implying any man with a penis will harm a woman, I am saying that any actual woman needs and deserves a safe space
Impatiens · 21/11/2020 23:46

No idea what he thinks he's going to get out of this. If his idea is to placate the trans activists in Labour it won't work - whatever is done, they always demand more. If it's to try to make himself look good it definitely won't work - not just with half the country but the overwhelming majority.

EddieSpaghetti · 21/11/2020 23:49

Furthermore, yes it is down to the individual, someone can be violent regardless of what genitals they have. But statistics prove women are at risk of rape, a crime that may as well be decriminalised looking at the stats.

[flowers'
Can appreciate that, and understand, just can't always understand the more radical view on here
