Jessica Yaniv files human rights complaint against beauty pageant
thepostmillennial.com/jessica-yaniv-files-human-rights-complaint-against-beauty-pageant-for-not-letting-her-compete

Yaniv wants $10k

the pageant's policy, will only allow biological females, or "fully transitioned" TW with no male genitals

God, sorry Deacon, I misread that completely Blush
You're totally correct.

DeaconBoo · 26/10/2020 19:03

Not sure I phrased it very well!
I think it's interesting because it's a line a lot of people have mentally. "True" dedicated trans people vs self-identifying, etc. Yet I don't think I've seen any organisation articulate it explicitly like this. And it might make people think about why they draw such a line and whether it's fair.

NonCisWoman · 26/10/2020 19:08

This could be a very interesting case if it does go to court.

Under Canadian law, a woman is anyone who says they're a woman. Genitals don't matter. Therefore, if the pageant isn't allowing Yaniv in, it is discriminatory?

No fan of Yaniv btw. I'm just trying to look at it objectively.

howard97A · 26/10/2020 19:11

Well, as Joe Biden says, this is the civil rights issue of our time.

Who more fitting than Yaniv to carry the trans banner against the forces of oppression?

ShowOfHands · 26/10/2020 19:13

"The JCCF says that Yaniv is seeking $10,000 in damages for "injury to dignity and feelings," and "requests that the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario rule that an organization cannot refuse a service to someone just because that person has male genitalia ."

I don't think the pageant is the end game either.

Do you think he'd use the 10 grand to finally pay those women he was ordered to pay...

MidnightBlue28 · 26/10/2020 19:17

If only that was all Jessica Yaniv Simpson had been up to

Bejazzled · 26/10/2020 19:22

JY does realise it’s a pageant of beauty, right ?

CharlieParley · 26/10/2020 19:38

@BoggledBudgie

Sorry, wish I could amend comments. Safe, biological female only and trans women (who have undergone full GRS) spaces. Because any trans woman who’s had surgery to fully transition is not a threat to females in my opinion.
There is no evidence that full surgery renders a male incapable of harming women. If it did, then castrating sexual offenders would have been proven to work in stopping them reoffending. But it hasn't. A person with violent tendencies retains them and there are not only a fair few cases of post-op transsexuals committing serious crimes, the biggest study of post-op transsexuals in Sweden showed no difference between them and other males in their rates of criminality.
nancybotwinbloom · 26/10/2020 19:39

@Whatwouldscullydo

Give it a rest yaniv.

No one wants to see or touch your dick.

And that last place on earth you should he within a 50 mile radius of , is a room where little girls are getting changed.

Perfect summary right there
ArabellaScott · 26/10/2020 20:13

Janiv is only going along with what the Canadian govt have sanctioned. So legally Yaniv is probably correct. Go for it, Jessica!

Buttybach · 26/10/2020 20:15

I have followed the various lawsuits that this Buffoon has made. It beggars belief!

PurpleHoodie · 26/10/2020 20:24

Is this why Victoria's Secret decided to no longer put on public yearly runway shows?*

It's a rhetorical question**

**private runway shows may still be available to the vair rich

anotherhumanfemale · 26/10/2020 20:35

Well, Yaniv has already been beaten THE TRANS COMPETITOR IS FROM YANIV's TOWN/SUBURB (Surey, just outside Vancouver!).

What shitty luck! 😂 Another trans competitor beat JY to it anyway! 😂

anotherhumanfemale · 26/10/2020 20:38

Oh no, I take it back, JY is living in Langley. It's a neighbouring suburb. Many of the waxing victims were in Surrey, I think.

wellbehavedwomen · 26/10/2020 20:46

If you look at the finalists last year, there's one very clear transwoman. I suspect they may have rules around the participation of anyone who could bring the pageant into disrepute, which would have nothing to do wth Yaniv's trans status, and everything to do with Yaniv's behaviour.

KenDodd · 26/10/2020 20:47

It's not just about violence though, taking women's sports prizes is harming women.

blueangel19 · 26/10/2020 20:52

Why give so much space to this person?. Obviously an attention seeker.

What Jessica Yaniv looks like is irrelevant, even in the context of a beauty pageant, in terms of the case they are bringing. There are a million things worse to criticise JY for than JY's looks.
I'm a bit taken aback that so many people here prefer to slag off someone's appearance, to be honest.

Oh cry me a river it's absolutely relevant, this is a beauty contest. If I were to enter one, in all my 46-year-old 4'11" overweight female glory, I'd be laughed out. This person wants to be seen and wants to be talked about, either because they are taking the piss or because they're deluded. In either case, people who take part in beauty contests can expect to have their looks talked about.

Kettlingur · 26/10/2020 20:53

Bold fail. Blush

vivariumvivariumsvivaria · 26/10/2020 21:24

Doesn't Stef-o-knee also live in Canada?

Wonder who the second trans entry is for a beauty pageant which is open to little girls?

Babdoc · 26/10/2020 21:31

Doesn’t Canada have something equivalent to our “vexatious litigant”, to stop this attention seeking idiot bringing endless lawsuits?

BoggledBudgie · 26/10/2020 21:39

In all honesty I never thought of it this way. I had the view that no male would go so far as to remove his penis in order to harm a woman. Off to do some thinking on that!
