I know it’s not even November yet but I’m starting to write Christmas lists early thanks to anticipation of COVID-chaos. I would love to support as many brave feminists as possible with my purchasing power.

So far I have:
The Ickabog/ Strike books by J.K. Rowling
Difficult Women by Helen Lewis
Embroidery patches by Jess de Wahls

Any more suggestions for Christmas gifts that will support the fearless women (or men) who’ve stuck their heads above the parapet?

I believe from Grahman Linehan's comments that Lissa Evans is GC and igned the anti JKR abuse petition. I have really enjoyed her novels, Crooked Heart especially.

Would love if someone could recommend a feminist friendly family calendar for 2021. Need one with days of the month listed one below the other by month with 4 columns so can put in appointments for different members of family

How droll. Domestic violence is always so chic.

Does anyone know where the money goes from sales of box sets? Are they just too old hat now for gifts maybe? I'm thinking Black Books or Motherland etc in support of Graham Linnehan, though I know not everyone is keen on Motherland.

@SmallPug I thought she had spoken out in support of JKR but I can’t find any evidence now and her name doesn’t seem to be on the letter of support.

I wish to retract "bedtime stories for Revel girls". Apparently there is a trans girl featured. Sorry! Some people seem to be solving this by gluing those 2 pages together but in the spirit of this thread it doesn't fit the bill. Annoyingly. If anyone knows of a similar unwoke version I'd be interested. Ebay and something old might be the answer though, I remember loving one featuring Amy Johnson and Joan of Arc as a kid.

Hmm. I bought a calendar from Traidcraft called 'Women of the World' celebrating 12 women of colour. Didn't think I could go too far wrong.

I've just looked up the artist Nadia Akingbule and she appears to have done some art for Lush and Stonewall on themes of being 'cis-gender' and gender diversity etc, so not likely to be a GC artist.

I didn't know that about the Rebel girls book Sad

I'd like a really subtle T shirt, so one in suffragette colours but no words or other pictures. I've been looking on and off, but so far failed to find one.
Anyone know of one?
