Leeds is on the brink of a lockdown so have arrested her under Covid rules of gathering in public. Removal from the area the de-arrested is my understanding.

What is actually happening? All I can hear are the police explaining policing 101 and people professing surprise that they can detain you.

The policeman said "unfortunately, the protest doesn't fall within the legal definition of a political organisation".

It seems she's trying to force them to arrest her (rather than accept a fine) so that can be fought out. Do women have the "official right" to protest like other groups?

I don't get the logic of doing this in a high Covid area. I know the risk is lower for the outdoor bit but by ending up in a police van she's more likely to get it from the police.

But maybe I'm just jaundiced because I got a positive test back yesterday in a neighbouring authority. Even though I stuck to the rules.

I admire some of what she's done but this would put me off sending money.

That's what I was thinking. Seems as though BLM is okay but protesting about women's rights is not okay.
