But sweet you can't have it both ways. If violent men will be attack women no matter what then why does that logic not apply to attacks on transwomen by men? If it is going to happen anyway why open women up to extra risk from predatory men pretending to be trans? It is going to make no difference by your own logic.

EdgeOfACoin · 30/08/2020 16:54

Why are you trying to remove the rights of transwomen? What makes you superior to them that you block them from the places that should be afforded to them?

What rights are being removed?

TorkTorkBam · 30/08/2020 16:55

Why do transwomen deserve safe spaces of their choosing but women don't?

If they use men's toilets yes they are subjecting themselves to that possibility. That's what I said.

Honestly, there is so much fear in this thread. Women are more afraid than they ever were yet rape hasn't gone up.

You do, you have women only toilets which TW, who are also women, use.
OldCrone · 30/08/2020 16:56

How many women have been attacked since transwomen have been using women's toilets?

There are plenty of instances of 'transwomen' attacking girls and women.

Here's one:

That's what this thread is about, people here are saying they are afraid TW are taking away the rights women fought for, they say, forgetting a TW is also a woman so those rights are also for them.

One. So all TW have to suffer for that one? Yet men still sneak into women's toilets and rape without saying they are trans. You want to put TW in danger or force them to be hermits because of one.

TorkTorkBam · 30/08/2020 16:58

You misunderstand me sweet. You wrote earlier that women are not at increased risk by letting some males into the women's on demand. You said one reason is that violent men will be violent to the women anyway. Blocking them makes no difference. Why is that not true for transwomen? Why can't their attackers go into women's spaces to attack transwomen when you say they can go in to attack women? What makes it different?

ThinEndoftheWedge · 30/08/2020 16:58

TW do not have the rights to women’s single-sex spaces etc because they are not women. No rights are being removed.

If TW is in more danger using those rooms from those men you described then those men are thugs and need locking up.

This is a clear safety risk for TW. Are you seriously telling me a TW is safer going into the women’s communal changing room with a whole load of Dads waiting outside to pick up their school age daughters after swimming club? No.

You safety concern is bullshit. You need to campaign for third spaces.

SweetEspresso · 30/08/2020 16:59

Giving up on you people. You carry on thinking of yourselves. Keep inequality going. Put the people who really are in danger into more danger. Make your faux arguments. I'm out.

Another one bites the dust

EdgeOfACoin · 30/08/2020 17:00

SweetEspresso, are you happy for transgender woman Jessica Yaniv to help a ten-year-old girl insert a tampon?

Jessica was asking advice on how she could go about doing that. I don't have the screenshots to hand, but feel free to do a Google search on it.

yourhairiswinterfire · 30/08/2020 17:01

Women should be ashamed for thinking themselves into this victimhood causing heartache to people who just want to live their lives.

So to allow someone to live their life, women have to:

-stand by whilst a lobby group campaigns for sex to be removed as a protected characteristic, fucking over every single woman.

-give up our right to share facilities with members of only the same SEX.

-be banned from a PCOS forum for having the nerve to refer to OURSELVES as women, because this causes hurt feelings.

-accept being reduced to 'cervix-havers' 'ovary-havers' and 'menstruators', because trans men are more than happy to be degraded in this way, so women should be too. The word woman triggers dysphoria in a trans man, yet funnily enough a TM giving birth does not.

-prepare to be sacked for acknowledging biological sex is real, that sex is binary and no one can change their sex.

-accept death and rape threats

-lesbians must be willing to accept dick, if she refuses then she's a genitalia obsessed pervert.

-we must allow transwomen to cheat and excel in our sports, and to hell with any woman who may end up with life changing injuries because of this. Because a broken neck is nowhere near as serious as hurting someone's feelings, right?

That's what it's going to take to allow someone to live their life peacefully?

As my nan would say, fuck that for a game of soldiers.

TorkTorkBam · 30/08/2020 17:02

Why is it women's job to take care of males who are in danger from other males?

Why do you choose the ones who identify as trans but leave the gay men, black men and disabled men to be unsafe in the men's? By your logic surely they should have the right to the space safest from bad men, i.e. women's space?

Lottapianos · 30/08/2020 17:02

The slightest bit of contact with facts and reality and it all becomes a bit much. Apparently

OldCrone · 30/08/2020 17:03

One or two blokes may pretend, but then men have raped women in women's toilets without dressing up.

Why do you think they would have to dress up? Do you have such regressive views that you think people have to dress in a certain way according to whether they are men or women?

Yet men still sneak into women's toilets and rape without saying they are trans.

And because we can't tell the difference between a man and a transwoman, allowing transwomen in will mean that we can't challenge a man and tell him he's in the wrong place, or call security to kick him out. All he has to do is say 'I'm a woman', and he's the victim, and the women who complained will be told that they're bigots.

I'll come back just for this one. Not knowing the story behind it, yes why not? Male doctors do the same.

This one is just taking the piss now.

yourhairiswinterfire · 30/08/2020 17:05

In the meantime you want to force them to either using men only spaces and since you worry men will rape will put them into the danger you think you are in, or stay home never to venture out again.

I have been raped. As a child and an adult. I'm not a hermit. Not scared to venture out ever again.

TorkTorkBam · 30/08/2020 17:06

Oh dear a flounce.

A flounce preceded by the hyperbole that transwomen cannot even leave the house if they are not to impinge on women. And they are more at risk than women and children and men who are not trans, despite the stats for the UK showing very clearly that transwomen at very low risk of harm in the UK.

Making up lies and insisting they are true seems to be a pattern.

Urgh, can't keep away.

I used dressing up to try to keep it simple for a typed out conversation. No, that's not really how I meant it.

I don't get the problem even a a man came in, women pop into mens loos for a wee and I've seen men do the same the other way round, if the other toilet was busy.

If they say they are women then you are a bigot if you disagree.

DialSquare · 30/08/2020 17:06

You come on here scolding intelligent informed women and you don't even know about Jessica Yaniv? Amateur.
