Paedophile with 1500 abuse images now identifies as a woman

Also claims it was "their" gender dysphoria that caused them to download the images of pre-pubescent girls being abused.

Judge disagreed with that assessment - said Anthony had clearly gotten sexual gratification from the images - and yet STILL handed down a 2-year suspended sentence... Isn't that the definition of male privilege?

Female pronouns throughout the article.

I was waiting for someone to use the “my gender dysphoria made me do it judge, honest” excuse

Wasn’t disappointed

Hope the judge sees past this

timetest · 14/07/2020 13:55

Will it be recorded as a crime committed by a woman?

timetest · 14/07/2020 13:56

Sorry, cross posting.

glitterfarts · 14/07/2020 13:57

It is infuriating that crime stats are being skewed.
This will be recorded as a female crime. Why do females once again have to take responsibility for a man's crime.

Why not at least have 2 other categories, trans woman and trans man?

They should be recorded as their actual sex until they possess a gender reassignment certificate which legally changes the sex.

OhDear2200 · 14/07/2020 13:58

So if he breaks his sentence does he end up in a female prison? A prison is likely to have a high proportion of women who have been sexually abused either as adults or children.

SarahTancredi · 14/07/2020 13:59

Not a woman.

Not our crimes

VanGoghsDog · 14/07/2020 13:59

It's irrelevant what made them do it. They did it and it's illegal and disgusting. Gender dysphoria is not mitigation!

wellbehavedwomen · 14/07/2020 14:05

Don't know about Derbyshire, but plenty of police forces do, yes.

Perhaps someone should do a Freedom of Information Request for that constabulary.

Siablue · 14/07/2020 14:06

Good grief. That is no sentence at all. He really did deserve a custodial sentence. It is good that the local paper has reported this honestly.

I do sometimes feel that crimes against women and children might as well be legal because of how little sentences people get for them.

Fanthorpe · 14/07/2020 14:10

It’s such a shit defence anyway, it’s precisely what TRA’s use as an example of transphobia. The report makes it obvious who he is and where he lives, he’s going to have a tricky future however he ‘presents’.
Another one of the examples of behaviour that is denied and ridiculed as unrepresentative and just women’s hysteria at sharing their spaces.
Awful.

MyOwnSummer · 14/07/2020 14:10

A suspended sentence? For that? A complete disgrace. Hardly better than a slap on the wrist.

Slightly off topic, but it is a shame we can't just stick all the unrepentant, excuse making paedophiles on an island somewhere and forget about them. Sadly it would have to be quite a large island.

MyOwnSummer · 14/07/2020 14:11

And no, that is not a woman. These are not our crimes.

wellbehavedwomen · 14/07/2020 14:11

Oh it's long been recognised that women in prison, the vast majority of whom are jailed for non-violent crimes, are almost all survivors of previous male sexual violence.

Incarcerated women evidence high rates of both interpersonal trauma and mental illness. In particular, the rates of sexual violence victimization are so high that some researchers have suggested that sexual abuse may be a pathway to prison for women, likely through the development of mental illness, including substance abuse.

And then they think it's fine to lock male criminals up with these women, if those males assert a woman's gender identity. Which by definition, the women can't see - all they see is a man. And of course male people's demands matter more than female people's needs. Even though it's widely accepted that just the presence of male people, however they identify, is traumatic for women prisoners.

wellbehavedwomen · 14/07/2020 14:12

Sorry, that was for @OhDear2200

calllaaalllaaammma · 14/07/2020 14:14

To be honest, that sentence seems to be pretty standard for the crime- 200 hrs community service, suspended 2 year prison sentence and 10 years on the sex offenders register, but it does seem to vary case by case, judge by judge.
It is infuriating that the defendant is called 'her' in the article though, and the fact that it was offered as an excuse for the defendant's behavior by the prosecution is pretty sickening.

He must have thought he'd be getting a custodial sentence and thought he'd have an easier time, plus access to women, in a female jail.

Wyntersdiary · 14/07/2020 14:28

when these sentences get given i think to myself.. how cruel do you have to be to not want to give them a proper sentence? how can you not think of those poor children.

I remember a case years ago. Man killed 4 year old girl after sexually abusing her... was given 5 years in prison.

I was 14 when i saw that headline and i cried myself to sleep for days because it was the first time that i found out that those things happen and i couldnt believe an adult could ruin a life and not get his ruined in return.

LillianBland · 14/07/2020 14:28

I’m just waiting for the poster who said on another thread that women aren’t raped, because of their sex, to pop up and explain why this pervert’s choice of video involved the abuse of little girls. Coincidence?

The very very tiny comfort in this story, is the fact that the judge didn’t believe his excuses for watching the rapes of young girls. Isn’t it ridiculous that I’m actually surprised at that?

CistitisStings · 14/07/2020 14:36

Don't be stupid. Antony is a woman, and women don't want to hurt other females. This simply doesn't happen.
