Paedophile with 1500 abuse images now identifies as a woman

Also claims it was "their" gender dysphoria that caused them to download the images of pre-pubescent girls being abused.

Judge disagreed with that assessment - said Anthony had clearly gotten sexual gratification from the images - and yet STILL handed down a 2-year suspended sentence... Isn't that the definition of male privilege?

Female pronouns throughout the article.

@OvaHere the huge majority of young children will simply have their police interviews played in court and will not be required to give evidence in person or be cross examined. I guess in their police interviews there’s no way that an officer would correct them if they used the wrong pronouns. From what I’ve seen, police officers in general are VERY sceptical toward offenders who say they are trans.

Recently, more cases are being heard over video link with defendants appearing from prison and the prison officers clearly and deliberately refer to them as Mr in almost every case. They’ve never been challenged by a judge or magistrate.

I’ve not been in a case where the victim or a transgender sex offender has been a child and has been required to be in court so I don’t know what a judge’s response would be if a ‘misgendering’ occurred. This is why I make a huge effort (often in my own time, without pay) to go to these cases because it’s very important that we record what’s happening. You can never really know how it’s going to play out until you get to court.

Most journalists are highly cynical people and the reason you’re seeing these cases covered by local papers is usually because they know full well what’s going on.

Apols for typo: I’ve not been in a case where the victim of a transgender sex offender has been a child

JaniceBattersby - thank you, I really appreciate what you’re doing. 💐

What is enraging is that certain trans groups get to decide on whether these predators are placed in mens or women's prisons? Why on earth have we have allowed self interest groups to dabble in the prisons system?
Yet another example of preferential treatment for this group.

The regulatory capture of the judiciary is utterly appalling.

And I'm grateful to you too Janice but shocked that the directives are so strong, particularly when there are children who are victims of these crimes.

Imagine what it's like for those children that Joshua harvey targeted in October, reading that the man that tried to groom them is called Leah and referred to as a woman. They must feel that their reality and lived experience is less important than that of a convicted paedophile

Adding my thanks to @JaniceBattersby

Another thanks from me JaniceBattersby.

Thank you for attending and the care you take with your reports, Janice. It's absurd and sickening that we're in this position.

OvaHere · 15/07/2020 13:48

Thanks for the explanation @JaniceBattersby keep up the good work. It must be hugely frustrating.

JaniceBattersby · 15/07/2020 16:32

Thanks. I hope to continue covering these cases. My direct line manager is currently happy for me to do so.

However it may seem, the huge majority of journalists are fully supportive of the views of gender critical feminists. Most can’t express those views because they’re clinging on to their jobs in a shrinking industry but they do care and they do see through the nonsense.

Thank you janicebattersby.

Why does IPSO insist on preferred pronouns rather than biology?

OvaHere · 15/07/2020 17:42

@Antibles

Thank you janicebattersby.

Why does IPSO insist on preferred pronouns rather than biology?

I believe they were 'educated' by Trans Media Watch and/or Press for Change. There was a parliamentary review a few years back about reporting guidelines for trans people and it came from that.
Binterested · 15/07/2020 20:45

I've complained to the BBC referencing this from their Editorial Guidelines and telling them they are in breach of their own guidelines. I shall not expect much - they have brushed off all my previous complaints but maybe someone somewhere will start to notice that the public are not buying it .

Trust is the foundation of the BBC: we are independent, impartial and honest. We are committed to achieving the highest standards of due accuracy and impartiality and strive to avoid knowingly and materially misleading our audiences.

I complained to the BBC just after Christmas and haven’t had a reply. Also in Feb - also no reply.
