Honestly that was one of the funniest threads to date. Someone thinking that because bleach penetrated the hair shaft, another pointing to the fact that colour change to a flowers petals if placed in dyed water, meant that humans could change sex, because BIOLOGY.

That's funny because I dyed my son's hair blue over lockdown and now he's a girl.
Oh, wait. No he isn't, he just has blue hair that's partly washed out.
I only wish glasses changed my biology. If they did I might not need them any more.

I think one of the most crushing aspects of all of this is seeing celebrities you used to like exposing what complete ninnies they are.

I could respect Mara if she had a different, but still factually sound opinion to me. What I can't respect is this sort of nonsense. Glasses and hair dye don't rewrite your biology. What next? Wheelchairs change your DNA? And all of it presented like some huge gotcha

They seem to have confused changing with interfering with. Of they have a very odd concept of biology. Some of the responses are hilarious though, especially the Halloween one.

Someone’s saying that because a certain type of fish and some amphibians can change sex it’s totally possible for humans. I’d like to see them develop gills and swim a mile underwater as fish can also do that.

Never heard of her so just looked her up. She's 32, I knew American education system is bad but this is priceless.

Influential - on Twitter a lot - pride, LBGTQ etc, gets lots of engagement. Mainly because of being in children’s films, I think a lot of people relate to her because of Matilda -special, different, misunderstood, clever.

I think she's 'influential' because the bar on social media is set at 'I know who she is because she was in a film I watched'.

The sexism/ageism combo on that thread is strong enough to power a large city. (I do love the post asking if 'a couple of good spray tans change your race' though )

The fact that so many of the animes are agreeing with her says it all. There is no logic to the argument whatsoever.
