Just bought some towels from Superdrug and the first line on the back of the packet is ‘A person who menstruates..’ I’m a woman ffs!
I shop in Superdrug all the time for their cruelty free stuff but no more!

It's more for people waiting to transition/starting to transition than for the majority of transmen. When we start testosterone we don't tend to need period products for long.

So really it's more for teens/people on Gender Clinic waiting lists.

You’re saying trans women are a threat because they're biologically men, right?

Most biological males aren’t a threat. But a few are. And most annoyingly, despite it being the obvious best way to identify them, they won’t step up and declare themselves. Very unsporting.

So, given the lack of the dangerous men to do the decent thing an carry a warning sign, in certain situations we choose to exclude all men just in case one of them is a bad’un.

It’s very unfair to the vast majority of males who are lovely* but that’s the way it has to be because there is that small but real proportion of dangerous men hidden between the lovely ones.

So the question is, are self-declared transwomen less of a threat than other biological men such that they can be exempt from the restrictions that apply to all the other lovely men? If so, why?

• (ok, maybe a bit un-lovely in some ways due to their male socialised entitlement but that’s something society as a whole needs to work on)

And electric shavers in particular to be advertised to all given that many women have beards and get very sensitive about that fact, probably due to bullying coupled with a lack of general awareness that other have the same thing

No one is saying you are not a woman.

Another person may menstruate but identify as a man.

Has anybody else seen that grossly offensive trailer for ITV in which Trevor McDonald proclaims that "We are changed by what we see" - with the crystal clear message being that watching television educates, enlightens and informs us, thus greatly enriching our lives?

I wonder if they've had a load of bitter complaints from blind people that the advert is effectively calling them stupid, ignorant and ill-informed, on the basis that their eyes don't see anything.

Or do they just accept that it's addressing the vast majority and intends no sleight or criticism of those who don't technically fit into their description - and just get on with their lives?

On these boards, it's always that people say they have issues with safety from trans women, this is what bothers them.

No. That is wilful miss-understanding.

It is because there are men who will claim to be trans just to access female only spaces. And don’t pretend it won’t happen. Remember the number of men who spent years training as clergy, teachers, scout leaders just to access vulnerable women and children. Now they can hide in plain sight.
