Why are the trans community blaming women for the actions of men?

I’m reading everything I possibly can in light of JKR statement (which beautifully articulates everything I feel)

One thing I cannot see a clear answer to though is just why all the TRAs are just so angry at women. I have seen a serious of tweets linked on Facebook that talk about how dangerous JKR’s thinking is to the trans community as it makes “people” (I assume men?!) think that trans women are not real women.

Leaving aside the argument of whether they are or aren’t, does anyone know why TRAs aren’t more angry at the men who are actually doing the rape / murder / assault that also affects women and why they’re angry at women for standing up for themselves? This is more than just misogyny surely?

Front page of the Sunday Times tomorrow, can't make the article out though.

Why are the trans community blaming women for the actions of men?

I think they all have mother complexes.

It's why they're all getting off on JKR hate. Symbolic matricide.

Basically a whole stack of screwed up men in a society that paints a bright red target on the backs of women to distract from the male ninja creeping up behind you.

Which is a weird metaphor, need more coffee.

Yranspeople have been around for a long time, been allowed in women's spaces quietly and without fuss for years.
Women didn't think much of it and didn't vent their rage on this group.
Many people today who call themselves trans haven't transitioned into anything just wear different clothes and makeup but with a lot less pazazz than Bowie and BoyGeorge encouraged back in the day.
Now living as a woman for transwomen is all about fashion and sex which is such a tiny part of being a women.
And thinking about why they seem to hate older women,I think it is because we all grow older and we older women are not what the younger transwomen aspire to be.

Melia100 · 13/06/2020 23:30

Actually, I hated the entitlement of men who thought they were women and used women's spaces even back in the day. Just because I didn't say anything about it, because I was scared of the narc male rage, didn't mean I didn't 'think much of it'. I used to get hit on by AGP men, and I hated it. It was outright sleaze under a mask of 'all girls'.

Sorry, I see the conversation has moved on but I really want to take issue with this sweeping statement: With age comes maturity” but often also racism, climate denial, transphobia and the rest

How fucking dare you!

I'm 67, not one of my ageing friends and relatives has suddenly turned into a racist, climate denier or transphobe.

My 77 year-old old sister has gone to jail more than once for protesting climate change.

Ageism, along with sexism, is the acceptable ism of 2020.

This is a myth that men have repeated for years despite all the women who have called the manager or the police and stood outside the loo warning women that there is a wanker inside. Clymer has made a living threatening nuisance suits against restaurants when women report him and the manager confronts him.

Oddly enough it is men who get more conservative with age, and women who become more radical.
Hagisonthehill · 14/06/2020 00:06

TehBewilderness.
Sorry my back in the day was before Clymer was born and they were few and far between and not the aggressive, attention seeking trans we get today pissing on our toilet floors and really out to aggressively harass women.
I don't think that women get more radical with age they are just no longer seeking approval for their actions. With age comes the ability to give less of a shit as to what others think about your actions.

Melia100 · 14/06/2020 00:13

not the aggressive,attention seeking trans

Bull. I'm thinking 1980's and the AGP's were just as horrible as they are now.

Just to check in and confirm I am reading all of this, taking a little time to process but really appreciate the responses

The trans community does not blame women for anything

Are you the spokesman for the "trans community"?

Can we consult you on all related matters?
