It's absolutely brilliant and so powerful. I can't see how anyone could read it and still parrot that trans women are women.

Thus is perfect. She has articulately and compassionately laid out the most succinct and considered argument, which with her reach and credentials will only give others courage and enable a wider audience to engage in this debate. To argue with this with vitriol and aggression will only show the shallowness if the counter argument.
I think I have a serious lady crush.

All I can think about is her Jonathan ross interview for book 7 and how absolutely introverted she is for someone so quick, funny and intelligent - in the prism of a DV survivor you see it in a different light.

Honestly, I am blown away, I can't even formulate a coherent reaponse. This is surprisingly emotional, and vindicating. What an incredible and historic document that statement is.

And I do hope the virtue baskers never earn a penny from her name again.

I knew she was a domestic abuse survivor but I had no idea she was also a sexual assult survivor.

I told my ds (11) that Daniel Radcliffe wasn't kind to JK, he asked why, I explained briefly, he replied that DR was just a "pussy" as he didn't believe what he said but was too scared to agree with her, interesting take from a child

Amazing, I can’t even get my head round the eloquence of this. How has she managed to put all our feelings into one article? If people read that and still think she’s coming from a place of hate, they mustn’t have an empathetic bone in their body. for JK

I’m so angry and upset about all this. And I can’t do anything, because if I am ‘outed’, I could lose my job. I can’t believe that sensible, articulate women are largely unable to enter into reasoned discussion about this. I don’t hate trans people, but I am concerned about the rights of women and girls, and I can’t say anything about it.

I will write to Jo and thank her for speaking out when I can’t.
