Oh wow thanks JK.
She has the money not to be touched with threats to work etc.
But that post highlights that is not all there is to this. Family, friends. It's such a divisive subject. No one wants to risk these relationships, and we all know the arts in general are woke as anything. JK is really putting herself out there.
I am too scared at work. Everyone I have spoken to IRL has said, the aims, the doctrine, the stuff that has already happened is appalling.
But for men, they have no skin in the game. For women, they are worried about being seen as bigots.
I have been married for 13 years, my DH knows my politics
He is being better at not going on the defensive. He says this is all terrible. I say, what are you doing about it? Would it even occur to you to do something about it?
One of the best wins of patriarchy is to put anything that affects women and girls in s box called 'women's issues'. Even CSA of boys seems to fall under 'women's issues'. So men can tune out. Not my problem.
How is that harm to children of both sexes and harm to women who are half the population, is sidelined as 'women's issues'???
I have seen this in action more than once and can tell my anecdotes if people want to hear
Suffice to say that the average man tunes out when it's 'women's issues' with a 'not my problem' thing. This comes up over and over. It's really frustrating.
Bottom line is. Most men care about 'their' women and children. Other than that it's all about men.
