Pro-woman is just a euphemism for transphobic

Exactly that.

Transgender people are not eroding our rights as women. Although, the people making such spiteful and ignorant comments and talking about trying to stop them getting recognized as women are eroding their rights to be accepted, respected equal. Do you all honestly think that by speaking out AGAINST transgender people, you are going to be declared as heroes?

And what happened to be kind?

bless, you seem very agitated.

Melia100 · 10/06/2020 12:58

Haha, 'be kind'!

You do know this is the feminism board, right?

We don't hold with your nonsense about how the good little women should conduct themselves, passively, quietly, nicely, kindly, putting the feelings of all others above their own.

Jog on, OP.

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 10/06/2020 12:58

And what happened to be kind?

To steal from someone else, it's not a choice of "be kind" or be horrible, it's a choice between be truthful or be obedient....

CodenameVillanelle · 10/06/2020 12:59

Shhhhhhhh

DickKerrLadies · 10/06/2020 13:00

"You're all bloody witches! Be nice - like me!"

DickKerrLadies · 10/06/2020 13:01

Stolen from another thread:

Do you believe women should continue to have all the rights they currently have in law?

Destroyedpeople · 10/06/2020 13:01

'Be kind' my arse

ChickenNuggetsChipsAndBeans · 10/06/2020 13:02

Op - Why do think the phrase "be kind" is predominantly directed at women?

LesleysChestnutBob · 10/06/2020 13:03

Oh gosh OP you're so cool aren't you

RufustheLanglovingreindeer · 10/06/2020 13:03

Do you believe women should continue to have all the rights they currently have in law

Oh thats an awesome question

Hopefully little will have a go at answering it

Lottapianos · 10/06/2020 13:03

'Be kind' is what you say to children about how to behave around others. They're children, so cant understand anything more complex. We're adults, and some of us are sick to death of being given little pats on the head and being told to 'be kind', end of story. It's just the new version of 'calm down, dear'

zen1 · 10/06/2020 13:03

Surely you mean, “y’all’?

ALittleBitofVitriol · 10/06/2020 13:05

K.
You seem to have the menz sorted, we'll just be over here, being kind to women and girls - aka feminism.

MrsOrMiss · 10/06/2020 13:05

How about the trans lobby start being kind to those of us who are, you know, being admonished for not being kind?

Littlemeadow123 · 10/06/2020 13:09

Be kind is what you say to children about how to behave around others

So you are suggesting fhat the whole #bekind thing was a load of rubbish? That we shouldn't treat other people kindly, or with respect? That if someone lives their life in a way that we don't like then we should respond with as much hate as we want? Wow.

Would you respond the same way to a woman who wanted to start living as a man? Would you have the bollocks to say the same things to a transgender person's face? I doubt it.

picklemewalnuts · 10/06/2020 13:10

If you are saying 'pro woman is a euphemism for transphobic', surely you are also saying that being 'pro trans is being gynophobic'.

I studied logic a long time ago. I can't remember technically how it works.

Something like
if
Pro woman is anti trans
Then
Pro trans is anti woman.

Your words by the way, not mine.

BaronessFloralBunting · 10/06/2020 13:10

I don't speak out against transgender people. I barely mention them, and if they are female transgender people, they get included every time I reference pro woman things. I'm not a hero for doing so - it's a normal, decent, human response to the oppression of a whole class of people.

If you are doing your little show of defiance against the feminists here, in the service of the transgender people who are actually being mistreated overwhelmingly by men, the same as women are, because you think you're being heroic, then please, enjoy your moment of warm self righteousness, because when the chips fall, which they will, the cold brush of shame will feel much less 'heroic'. I say this to you as a kindness.

Melia100 · 10/06/2020 13:10

Ah, scolding women, such a buzz.

Littlemeadow123 · 10/06/2020 13:10

We'll just be over here, being kind ti women and girls

Yep. That's right. You just be kind to the people who are like you and only the people who are like you.

There are quite a few interesting posts on here today.

Strokes chin thoughtfully...

LockdownLump · 10/06/2020 13:12

The OP is after screenshots for Twitter of course.

popehilarious · 10/06/2020 13:12

*We'll just be over here, being kind ti women and girls

Yep. That's right. You just be kind to the people who are like you and only the people who are like you.*

So are we being kind to transwomen or not? Or do you think they are 'not like us'? Which is it?
