how very childish this all is (revelation!) They are whiny about how JK has 'ruined their childhood.

So very unlike the ruined childhoods of girls with mutilated genitals from FGM; or child brides; or girl babies abandoned on the side of the road; or girls trafficked into sex slavery; or girls raped and killed by men. Oddly enough, when it comes to hurting women, no-one seems to struggle to identify their biology.

But clearly having a children’s book author disagree with you is much worse than all that.

The reaction of the ‘she ruined my childhood!’ crowd is interesting - possessive of the source material and disconnected from reality (‘we can just pretend she didn’t write them!’)

You can see how an ideology of reality-denial instead of dealing with discomfort might appeal to people like this.

twitter really is extremely woke/removed from everyday lives- and they are deliberately (i think) trying to turn her into a lone voice pariah.

I don't think we should be reporting people for their vile tweets on this subject. It is counterproductive to try and have them deleted. They should be left for all to see and for JK's lawyers to action in cases where they are defamatory.

I was also going to mention the woman being redefined in Scotland. I'm appalled that I am now a subset of a group which includes men. In Scotland, women no longer legally exist.

This morning both JKR and twaw are trending. That, to me, says it all. The responses to her tweet are about how some men and nb people menstruate. Nonsense but a logical response if you go along with the ideology. And yet out of that, once more, it's not about trans men at all. The trans women have come along and made it all about them.

The attacks on the "if sex isn't real" tweet are bizarre. Half are screaming "Nobody is saying sex isn't real!!!" and the other half are saying "Sex ISN'T real!!!". Can't these people read?

I am enjoying how jk's tweets have been precisely worded to show this up! I'm just hoping it doesn't descend into a tedious derailment about toilets and stays on this topic.

Re Sooz Kempner, i used to follow her on Twitter until I realised she doesn't understand shit. She was insisting that "boy" was a pronoun (in a joke that didn't work about Boy George) even when trans allies were pointing out that it wasn't, then gloated about blocking them.
