Shame on you for supporting men who show such disdain for women, and facts, and even reality.

Seems Nicola Spurling has belatedly deleted the offending tweet. Shame about the archives and screenshots.

I am rather intrigued about the copy and paste fail though. The case she was copying about is fairly old news (Sorry Maria, not unimportant news obv) so she must have been going through old articles etc, reviewing stuff and making notes of particular points either for her own purposes or possibly in correspondence with others.
I wonder what she's up to.

But that plays right into Spurling’s non-apology which includes “wealth is powerful” as an excuse/reason for why she deleted her original accusatory tweet.

Sure, JK is loaded, but so many others who have stood up to this bullying are not, and have required crowd funding to get anywhere. Still, they stood their ground.

I prefer to think it’s not so easy to bully someone who knows her own mind and fights for her rights, billionaire or not.

They has ‘power’ too as a politician. She lied and threw a remark that could social services twitching should they choose to pay close attention and take it as a warning of child abuse. Classy move by a politician.

It's because they counted on none of us having the power to say no that they talk to us the way they do, though. There's nothing wrong with a woman having real power, the way Rowling does, and using it to ensure that she's able to be heard.

I'm long past the point of engaging with manipulative behavior from TRAs as if it was worth pretending that they're being sincere.

Wow that's awful. JKR is spending a lot of time commenting on all the pictures that children are drawing during lockdown and TRAs have decided to disrupt that with vile accusations because she copied and pasted something that actually happened.

Zero understanding of keeping children safe. Zero. Let children be children, keep them safe, nurture them, help them grow, love them for who they are.

But don’t spew vitriol or send them dick pics via a favourite author’s twitter feed, no matter how damaged you might have been by your own childhood.
