Video/videos are in the public domain. On the internet and being reported about in Cyprus and Israel. People on this thread have seen at least one of them.

If you think her lawyers cant get hold of them if they wanted to you are mad.

Tonz · 18/04/2020 11:22

I haven't seen any and wouldn't want to. I just feel if one of the men had a video like that on their phone it would have been used against her straight away but if it showed her telling them to leave like she said it did then that's why the men didn't use it for evidence. It's a heartbreaking story and I hope she gets justice for everything she's been through. I believe her version

Datun · 18/04/2020 11:28

So you have seen one that shows her not consenting?

Now you're confusing absence of consent with expressly not consenting. Despite claiming that there was a video of her enthusiastically consenting to group sex.

There were 35 bruises on her body, the first doctor who saw her said she passed out. She was questioned for 6 hours without any video evidence, or any witnesses. And, from what I can remember, the judge did not even allow her to testify about the rape. It was only about whether she was lying about the rape.

But, your mate 'saw a video on WhatsApp', which you are leveraging here, despite saying you've never want to watch it yourself and, in fact, haven't. 🙄

Homestayer · 18/04/2020 11:38

The level of confusion and odd decisions around this case are my exact point datun

The situation is inexplicable unless more evidence exists than is being reported.

You are right that I can't say for sure if the video of her enjoying group sex exists because I havent seen it, but it has been reported as existing and I know someone who I trust who says they have seen it.

If it exists it would explain a lot of things, such as why the video of her having 1 on 1 sex while being secretly filmed (which we know exists) hasn't been used as evidence in her defence.

Tonz · 18/04/2020 11:45

How does your mate even know he saw her in a video? As far as I know her identity is protected. Better get on the phone to Cyprus courts so they can defend their treatment of that poor girl with a video your mate found on WhatsApp. See how ridiculous it sounds

Homestayer · 18/04/2020 11:49

Then equally how do you know the video you saw of her which contradicts me is even her?

That works both ways.

Datun · 18/04/2020 11:53

You are right that I can't say for sure if the video of her enjoying group sex exists because I havent seen it, but it has been reported as existing and I know someone who I trust who says they have seen it.

This is an international scandal as far as Cyprus is concerned. Involving diplomatic relations, the decimation of their tourist industry and their global reputation.

Better your mate to send them the video, pronto.

Homestayer · 18/04/2020 11:59

You are right, its devastating for Cyprus and their tourist industry.

So why would they stand by it and even double down unless they know more than we do?

I'm sure the truth will come out eventually and I really hope it shows the poor girl did nothing wrong and can clear her name. I'm also a realist however and there is something very odd going on here.

We will all know the truth eventually.

Datun · 18/04/2020 12:08

So why would they stand by it and even double down unless they know more than we do?

Because they don't want to be known as the country where you go to get gang raped

Tonz · 18/04/2020 12:18

I didn't say I'd saw a video I said I hadn't and wouldn't want to. Yes there is something dodgy about the video. My guess is since they only arrested 7 of the 12 involved that the one who recorded her with one man got away without being arrested so the courts wouldn't have the video would they. They would have no way of knowing what phone it was on by the time they all got back to Israel. Men and woman from Israel and Cyprus went to court to support this girl. Take it they don't have access to WhatsApp there then.

MrsDoylesTeaBags · 18/04/2020 12:21

So why would they stand by it and even double down unless they know more than we do?

You also have to bare in mind the reputation of Brits abroad. My DS went on a lads holiday last year and witnessed a lad getting the shit kicked out of him by owners of a quadbike stall, nothing was done about it and the lad wouldn't press charges.

Young British people are assulted, raped, drugged, robbed, killed and die every year on holidays abroad and never see justice because 'Brits Abroad'.

This came out because another country was involved but I can guarantee you she is not the only poor young woman who went away for some holiday fun and came home traumatised and devestated.

MrsDoylesTeaBags · 18/04/2020 12:23

Tourist destinations depend on tourism, publisizing some of the abuse holiday makers witness ot experience does them no favours

Tonz · 18/04/2020 12:38

Also she didn't have a trial did she. The poor thing was in the police station for hour after hour all alone in a traumatised state of mind where she was bullied to retract her statement. Her interview clearly states that she sent distressed messages to her mum and friends while she was there she knew something wasn't right. Her appearance in court was against her for making it up so even if she did have the video she hasn't had the trial to show it yet. I really hope for her sake and for every other woman who will go on holiday she gets justice. Her strength amazes me

stumbledin · 18/04/2020 13:53

Yes Tonz, just came on to make that point.

The Judge in Cyprus specifically said he was not dealing with a rape case. The case was about "public nuisance"(?) or some such and the "evidence" for that was her original complaint of rape which she later "retracted". Dont forget her in the UK women who withdraw rape complaints have been charged with perverting the course of justice which can carry a very heavy sentence.

It seems obvious that the outside pressure at state level re the gas pipe line is what caused the change of attitude of the police. Nothing to do with a video.

And even if there is a video as it would have been made by one of those who are in effect part of the conspiracy who knows what sort of editing went on.

Its just so implausible. Why would a woman who thought she was having a holiday romance (or more) with a man she met on Cyprus, suddenly decide that she didn't really care about him and wanted to have group sex with all his mates? And even if they thought she had given that impression I can only imagine it was as a result of his actions and pressure on her. Who else but him would have arranged for his friends to turn up.

Its just gross.

And dont forget she is trying to get the rape case opened again in the Cyprus courts so clearly does not think the tape, if it exists, will contradict her.

Tonz · 18/04/2020 14:14

@stumbledin I forgot about the gas pipe line. Even more reason to make the case disappear. I also don't believe a 19 year old girl would agree to group sex with 12 strangers it just wouldn't happen. In her interview she says she had a row with him because she was talking to other boys. He allowed this to happen to her for what? Teach her a lesson. The whole thing is horrifying. Totally agree on why would she fight to get the case open again if she thought there was any evidence against her. Most people believe her so wouldn't she leave it that way instead of risking being caught out. I would love to believe there isn't groups of men out there who gang rape girls but I know there is. She's telling the truth

Tonz · 18/04/2020 14:17

I will change my mind however if @Homestayer can get their friend to forward their WhatsApp video to Cyprus Court. Can't see that happening

Homestayer · 18/04/2020 14:28

I suspect they already have it tonz

Toomboom · 18/04/2020 14:30

I have always believed her. Good for her to continue this campaign.

Ulver · 18/04/2020 14:33

What I found doubly disturbing was the amount of online trolls producing hundreds of comments an hr disparaging the victim, making slanderous claims about her, hundreds of comments an hr all over comments sections on mail online and many other news outlets.
There was a coordinated smear attack on her by multiple accounts. I have screen shots of the twitter storm against her.
It’s very creepy.

Ulver · 18/04/2020 14:35

I will
Also be boycotting Cyprus and Israel as holiday destinations.
I have relatives in Cyprus and went to my sister in laws wedding there.
But the place is seedy politically and used by Middle Eastern and Baltic criminal mafia for money laundering and worse.

TheQueef · 18/04/2020 14:37

I have watched the one uploaded to pornhub which candidly showed enthusiastic sex between a man and woman being secretly filmed (I don't think that is a crime in Cyprus could be w.rong) but I have only read about the vid showing her telling the mob to get out.

Yet the 'tone ' set by these videos existing seems to be more evidence she's a whore! For me it's exactly the opposite.

Ulver · 18/04/2020 14:45

Publishing secretly filmed sex tapes is illegal. It’s classed as revenge porn.

findumdum1 · 18/04/2020 14:48

I haven't watched the documentary yet. The one video I saw, on a porn site (and also on some mens rights incel site that linked from it), where you could enter her full name to pull any videos up and one, and only one came up, shows somebody having consensual sex, briefly, with one man while other men are surreptitiously filming her. The one man can see as he is facing the phone cameras that are filming them.

Everything I have seen and heard (never heard from her directly) is entirely consistent with her account. She had consensual (and pretty joyless) sex with one man, to keep him happy as he was pissed off with her for talking to other men (a situation I vividly remember from that age). It then appears that his mates burst in, either with or without his knowledge , but he certainly didn't seem to try and stop them in the clip I saw. This again seems entirely consistent to me with them then having forced group sex with her and inflicting various injuries, as you'd expect. So it seems very consistent to me that any footage (there were multiple boys filming in the clip I saw so could be more from different angles) that shows her "enthusiastically enjoying consensual sex" very probably were taken before she was raped, without consent, by different men, sustaining injuries as you'd expect around forced sex and becoming in pain. It also looks very much like it was a planned set up.

I find it hard to see how anyone can't see this as being entirely plausible and likely to have been what happened. Far more likely than a 19y old girl who isn't a porn actress, agreeing enthusiastically to rough sex in a claustrophobic small room with 20 odd Israeli boys that she barely knew, alongside a boy that she thought she was seeing.

TheQueef · 18/04/2020 14:52

Is it the same in Cyprus @Ulver?

Groundedbyboris · 18/04/2020 14:53

@Homestayer Are u for real. If the Cyprus courts already had the video they would have used it in their case against her for making it up.
There hasn't been a rape case yet so obviously she hasn't had the chance to use any video for her defence. I agree with @Tonz and @stumbledin. The thought that your friend holds the key to this whole case in a fuckin WhatsApp video is ludicrous. Billable much
