I believed her at the time. This is such a hard watch. I don't know how anybody could watch this and not believe her. What an awful ordeal and what a brave young woman.

It does make me very scared for my dd. I know that she will want to go on holidays like this in a couple of years.

InvisibleWomenMustBeRead · 14/04/2020 23:54

I believed her at the time and believe her all the more now. Shocking & horrific experience for her and then how she was treated afterwards is appalling. Hope she finds peace and is able to move forward with her life.

StrangeLookingParasite · 15/04/2020 00:01

I remember that not only did women in Cyrpus demonstrate on her behalf but women flew over from Israel to join in the protest.

I wish there was a way to punish only the males of a country. I'm probably being terminally naiive.

Datun · 15/04/2020 00:17

I believe her and I don't know many people who don't.

FagashJackie · 15/04/2020 00:28

I believe her. 100%

When you see young males acting out about this case and making claims that young women might voluntarily engage in group sex with strangers you just know it comes from a blurring of lines caused by porn.

She's so brave. What a strong young woman she is. She has my utmost respect and support.

tava63 · 15/04/2020 01:32

I believe her.

Poor woman and the things has had to endure.
I believe her.
I really admire her strength and bravery. I hope she can recover from this.
I will never holiday in Cyprus.

CantRememberHoliday · 15/04/2020 02:09

I believe her.
I too was raped 3 years ago but it was in magaluf. I was not as brave as she is!

DidoLamenting · 15/04/2020 04:05

I haven't seen the interview. I believe her.

Thepigeonsarecoming · 15/04/2020 04:09

This was heartbreaking to watch, yes she is clearly very believable. So many unanswered questions and dodgy police stuff went on here. I would love to hope for justice but I doubt it will happen. These boys will be safely protected at home now

stillathing · 15/04/2020 07:30

I believe her

SophocIestheFox · 15/04/2020 07:32

She’s so strong. I believe her and would give an almighty side eye to anyone who didn’t.

userxx · 15/04/2020 07:41

Dont forget that Cyprus came under pressure from Israel to release the men originally charged with rape because they were in the process of building a gas supply for the island.

Wtf!! I didn't know that.

Whatisthisfuckery · 15/04/2020 08:27

I haven’t watched it, I don’t want to but I believe her and have all along.

SugarPlumFairyCakes · 15/04/2020 08:35

I believed her then and I believe her now. What a strong young woman.

BlackHillsofDakota · 15/04/2020 09:15

I have just watched this on catch up. I 100% believe her. Poor girl. The scenes of the boys arriving back in Israel celebrating and chanting with their families was sickening.

Lysistrataknowsherstuff · 15/04/2020 10:52

One of the accused is a semi-professional footballer, and another's father is a politician (there were photos on twitter of the father with senior Cypriot ministers). Those are just two who ended up being named - it doesn't seem that it was just 12 ordinary young men on a holiday, but 12 powerfully connected men.

As for the scenes from the airport with families popping champagne, I know full well that if my brother had been accused of gang rape and his defence was that it was all consensual, my mother's response would not have been to open the champagne - she would have been absolutely disgusted with him.

Wauden · 15/04/2020 11:03

Boycott Israel and Cyprus.

Langsdestiny · 15/04/2020 11:06
