Why is there such a large portion of the feminist movement so against trans culture. Trans people have been some of the biggest advocates for supporting allegedly oppressed groups. Why is it suddenly okay to for feminists (a formally oppressed group) to oppress trans people (currently oppressed group) why?

Becles
You can add cornstarch (cornflour) to high protein flour to create cake flour.
Using strong flour for brownies or biscuits (cookies) will be just fine.

You can experiment with agar agar or add 1 ounce of carrageenan for each cup of liquid , boil the mixture for 10 minutes, and then strain out the carrageenan.

It has a wash of a kind of sugar syrup

And that is how fairies become trans sugar plum-fairies in the womb.

Personally I like the idea of iced tea made with booze

Ask and you shall receive (a recipe at least).

Fallingirl. That’s the best😂😂

Haha nice try.

DuLANGDuLANGDuLANG · 10/04/2020 11:31

Wouldn’t it be grand if female people were no longer oppressed anywhere in the world?

No FGM, no sex-selected abortion, no infanticide of female babies, no child marriage, women owning 50% of the world’s land, women owning 50% of the world’s wealth, women making up at least 50% of all national and local governments, no need for women to engage in prostitution or surrogacy...

Why on earth would someone come on a feminist board and assert that female people are no longer oppressed?

Women’s Rights are Human Rights.

Did they forget that? Or do they just not give a tiny single shit?

Ereshkigalangcleg · 10/04/2020 11:31

I am going to have that weetabix banana thing. Sounds delicious. I am 20 weeks pregnant with the worst kind of sickness I have ever had and that is actually the first thing I have wanted to eat in months. Thanks Lang x

ShockThanks

Oh now you're talking - my favourite drink. Try it with a touch of wasabi too.

Oooh

It kind of sounds like something an MRA would do. Weird that.

I read it as the poster thought that women's place in society was a result of innate differences from men.

In which case, women's rights are completely pointless.

Then I switched off, obviously.

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 10/04/2020 12:11

We have a few of those. They tend to get very cross when they say "well I think that biological differences naturally lead to sexed roles in society and feminism is wrong to say it's mostly socialization" or something similar and everyone else fails to jump in with enthusiastic agreement.

I bought some treacle cornflake tart in my necessary grocery shopping yesterday, and OMG it's almost orgasmic.

What? What?!! You can buy this?!! Where? How?

TinselAngel please tell me, I need to know!!!

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 10/04/2020 13:00

Treacle tart I get, but what's with the cornflake bit? Can't quite picture this.

TinselAngel · 10/04/2020 13:01

It was in my local Spar but I think it's one of the products they get from a local bakery.

Next time I get some I might put custard on it🤤

TinselAngel · 10/04/2020 13:05

Pastry base, layer of jam, cornflake and treacle topping Kittens.

It makes me drool even talking about it.

We had cornflake tart at Primary School.
The pastry was unneccesary IMO

(Does anyone know why pink sugar was served with tapioca? Or rather, why pink sugar existed?)

R0wantrees · 10/04/2020 13:14

We may have found a point of conflict tinsel in our naming of treacle vs golden syrup!

DuLANGDuLANGDuLANG · 10/04/2020 13:16

Cornflake tart!

One of the best things about moving up north was the discovery of Manchester Tart (and gravy in the chip shop, and Quality Save).

TinselAngel · 10/04/2020 13:20

I suppose if we're being accurate it is golden syrup but treacle is what we always called it at school.

You could make stilts out of the golden syrup tins too.

R0wantrees · 10/04/2020 13:21

Yes! Smile

TalkingtoLangClegintheDark · 10/04/2020 13:22

We don’t have a Spar near us, Tinsel. And I doubt I’m local to you. I so wanted it to be something I could buy off the shelf!

Hopes raised only to be dashed again.

And with custard too... 😭😭😭

TalkingtoLangClegintheDark · 10/04/2020 13:23

All treacle tart is made with golden syrup, isn’t it?

TalkingtoLangClegintheDark · 10/04/2020 13:27

Sorry R0 but we are definitely in conflict over that. The pastry base is the foundation on which the deliciousness is built.
