A few questions for feminists

  1. Why is feminism so small in number? They get plenty of airtime but it isn't catching on. Women know about it so why no support?
  1. Feminists want equality of opportunity and equality of outcome but how can you have both when it's impossible? You want to give women choice, but then want exactly 50% of men and women in each industry. This can only be achieved by forcing women (and men) to do jobs they don't want to or choose to do. Explain?
  1. Why do you think the earnings difference is due to gender when time and time again it has been shown it has nothing or very little to do with it. Why feminists not take into account the 40 or so factors which affect earnings, such as men are more likely to work longer hours, do more overtime, take less holidays, work more dangerous jobs, willing to relocate, willing to commute further, etc etc?

Please discuss.

This bloke always talks about his 'car'. And his 'job'.

isabellerossignol · 20/03/2020 19:15

Yeah, I don't actually believe he has a car. Or not one like he describes anyway. But he obviously aspires to one, so I think I'm doing him a favour by letting him know that most women laugh at men who boast about their car.

ConservativeC7 · 20/03/2020 19:18

Those dimwits you are talking about (men and women) are some of the best graduates in the country that I work with.

Obviously girls are not into cars as much as we are, they are more into their fingernail colouring in those places they go and sit for hours can call it 'me time'. Girl at work was explaining this to me the other day, I don't understand but people have different interests.

My views on women are not skewed, I told you this already women agree with me, disagree with you. They do not want to be aligned to your cause.

I don't pay women for company, I enjoy their company and they enjoy mine. Its called socialising. I like the attention, I'm not going to hide it, who doesn't?

The girls that I know just don't like feminism. They disagree with it. Do you not think its interesting why they disagree? Please explain, I am genuinely curious why they are happy in life, yet feminists seem to be find issues with everything, often with non issues like the pay review.

donquixotedelamancha · 20/03/2020 19:19

I had many female lecturers who I greatly admire.

Through a telephoto lens.

ClaraMumsnet · 20/03/2020 19:21

A+ for persistence though. Banned again.

isabellerossignol · 20/03/2020 19:21

The girls that I know just don't like feminism.

Why are you friends with underage girls if you are an adult male? Is that not a bit sinister? Do their parents know?

donquixotedelamancha · 20/03/2020 19:23

Banned again.

Aww. Please will you unban him and get him to do an AMA?

MrsDoylesTeaBags · 20/03/2020 19:23

Women agree with me, not you - says delusional man to group of women Hmm

MrsDoylesTeaBags · 20/03/2020 19:24

One woman, sorry girl ties his tie in the morning and another woman puts his dishes in the dishwasher at lunchtime. Has he got two mums, or is it his mum and his nan?

DancelikeEmmaGoldman · 20/03/2020 19:25

Son, unless you’re driving a Chiron, I’m pretty sure none of us will be impressed by your car.

The point of relish or chutney is to spread on hot, buttered toast.

MrsDoylesTeaBags · 20/03/2020 19:26

Great ideadonquixotedelamancha

"I am a Man AMA"

In these times of desperation we have to find our entertainment where we can.

DancelikeEmmaGoldman · 20/03/2020 19:28

Every time MNHQ bans the MM, I feel like Dracula’s daughters must have felt, when he wouldn’t let them eat Jonathan Harker.

PertEllaTitsahoy · 20/03/2020 19:30

most insurance companies refuse to insure me

Yeah, that's s problem for most 17yr olds who have just learned to drive. Just give it a few more years and you will have more options Smile

Justhadathought · 20/03/2020 19:32

Personally love the Italian style and flair of the Fiat 500...although the FiatPanda is far more practical when carrying around the grandchildren and shopping. Thos obnoxious big jobbies, that many seem to feel they require these days, should be taxed off the road. I believe they are also responsible for the modern scourge of pavement parking.

One only needs a tank when in the army.

dkl55 · 20/03/2020 19:33

I am loving this. Does anyone know where he posts from? Perhaps a country where women are more repressed than Britain? Where does his 91% stat come from - I don't know anyone who isn't a feminist. (Feminism meaning equality for the sexes obvs)

dkl55 · 20/03/2020 19:33

Also - has he any good recipes Grin

Justhadathought · 20/03/2020 19:37

I don't pay women for company, I enjoy their company and they enjoy mine. Its called socialising. I like the attention, I'm not going to hide it, who doesn't

I forsee an uncertain time ahead, with bars and social spaces now closed from tonight....perhaps you could socialise in that mahoosive car of yours; or perhaps the shed?

LadyQuarantinaPluckington · 20/03/2020 19:40

Oh come on, he's not really trying. Those posts are pure bullshit, he knows it, we know it, he's just trying to get a rise out of anyone who might happen along and take it seriously. Frankly, I'm not even laughing at the silly man now, because he's lost all the conviction and just dangles lazy shit like this in front of us;

And yes restaurants and clubs closing is a sad day but what can we do. As I said before I miss the admin girls, one of them does my tie up for me in the mornings, I get my drinks bought to me, my plates taken to the dishwasher - all out of kindness nothing to do sexism. I also buy them gifts and take them out for lunches every now and then in my powerful car. I miss the lads in the office too, we have a work hard play hard mentality, year end is a tough and demanding time and fast approaching. But it is all for the greater good.

I mean, come on. That's barely fanfic, let alone good trolling.

PertEllaTitsahoy · 20/03/2020 19:45

Does anyone know where he posts from?

1953?

MrsDoylesTeaBags · 20/03/2020 19:47

dkl55 He's got all the recipies, thats why the ladies love him so much. Grin

EoinMcLovesCakeJumper · 20/03/2020 19:55

I see I missed the Great Chutney Debate. I made some chutney once that had coriander seeds in it, and it was revolting. Like little pearls of soap exploding in your mouth.

I agree MM has lost his mojo in his latest reincarnation. I feel almost worried for him. I hope his Nan didn't fasten his tie up too tightly and cut off the circulation to his thinking bits.

New dilemma - would you rather have an extra nose on your forehead, or have knees where your elbows should be?

MrsSteveMcDonald · 20/03/2020 19:59

I worked hard to drive the car I drive (in fact most insurance companies refuse to insure me)

Not surprised you find it hard to get insurance, here's actual footage of you in your car

Is this what Donald trump is up to while covid sneaks up on him?

Al1Langdownthecleghole · 20/03/2020 20:13

I also buy them gifts and take them out for lunches every now and then in my powerful car.

Course you do, Malcolm.

Thanks for the fruit curd recipe Flowers I have frozen raspberries from last year's PYO visit. Can’t wait!
