I've always had a lot of respect for Billy Bragg. This disappoints me but doesn't surprise me, he's been Labour for 40 years, he's not going to go against the party now. He'd loose all his friends, colleagues and a lot of fans. He's not that brave, he's only a man after all.

I’ve commented on twitter like others but it’s actually a bit demeaning, almost sad to see so many women desperately seeking his approval, begging him to listen - he is ONE man, ONE bloody man. Only plus is that in these cases generally it’s the gallery that’s being addressed - the lurkers, the waverers, the policy makers, media etc,

I think you are right. There is so much of this in the Labour Party, yet no one wants to grasp the nettle and come up with something viable and voteable for the 21st century.

I liked a couple of his songs way back when I didn't know much about anything and that was it really - thought I ought to like them. One moves on.

He's been on tour with Grace Petrie, another crap woke songwriter. As she's young and writes songs about the gender religion he's probably calculated that this will be a good way of being 'relevant' to a younger generation, trying to widen the fanbase.
