Today I have been:

Busting rape myths elsewhere on sm, promoting IWD, discussing women’s rights and my personal experiences.

I’ve hopefully raised a Dd who won’t tolerate discrimination from anyone and who will stand up for herself and other girls and women. Who won’t tolerate poor treatment from a partner/spouse, who will engage in debate and discussion with others on the many issues involved.

Maybe we need a new Women Only International Women’s Day #WOIWD #Just1FuckingDay Seeings as today’s has been thoroughly colonised by the kind, the deluded and... men.

I tried to comment under an article in the Observer, today, but my comments have not even made it through moderation, as innocuous as they were...And I notice many, many deletions. Seems only those women who say acceptable things are allowed to have their comments stand.

Exactly what I was going to post. Thank you. I'm one of those 'butch' (I hate that term) women that Robin referred to earlier: shaved head, Doc Marts kinda thing. I very occasionally get mis-sexed. It's no big deal: I simply speak the truth, state I'm female and carry on.

I would also be interested to hear Robin's view on people lying about this

99% of trans women are easily identifiable....

We really, really , really need to stop giving a shit what Twitter says. Twitter winks at paedophiles and is the single worst medium for conversation humans have ever conceived.

I adore women, with all our faults and foibles.

I love strong women, I love weak women, I love women who have all their shit together, I love women who muddle through and do their best, I love women who muck up and try and pull it round again. I love women who are feminine, I love women who are butch, I love women who care about their appearance, and women who aren't fussed. I love women who are feminists and have been for decades. I love women who have been feminists for five minutes because they had an epiphany. I love women who actively reject the feminist label but still stand for women. I love women who are not feminists and have never understood it, and I even love the women that think feminists are their enemy.

Feminism is for you. If you are a woman, it is the collective endeavour to liberate you and your daughters, to make your lives better. You don't have to agree with every other woman about everything, and you don't have to shut up and conform. Investigate, think for yourself, lift yourself and your sisters and never think that your voice means nothing.
