My feelings about men

BoxyLoxy · 24/01/2020 20:01

Name changed, obviously.

Im a regular on here although mostly lurking.

I was wondering how other people reconcile their feelings about how fucking awful the patriarchy is, how men as a group are basically toxic and even the 'good ones' have an incredibly low bar for being decent humans.

Im married, and seriously reconsidering it because I feel this ongoing utter despair at the myriad injustices I put up with. I would NEVER EVER pursue a relationship with a man if I did leave.

Anyone else feel the same? Is this normal?!

And we’ve invaded A LOT

Two points guardiola
Your evidence is the very definition of anecdotal evidence.
Nobody is denying that violence against men doesn't exist but two women a week are murdered by their male partner. That's a problem....a big problem.
30 men a year are killed by domestic violence but not all of them are victims of female on male violence.

I've come across one man like you before. In fact it might be you....he refused to believe that domestic violence against women was an issue. Disgusting piece of work.

Probably more efficient to make a list of the countries the UK has never invaded, really.

UYScuti · 25/01/2020 11:59

Bitter horse faced
That's interesting Guardio!
I wonder what sort of face do you have....
perhaps you have a funny fish face🐟
A giddy goat Face🐏
A ridiculous rabbit face🐇
cheeky cheetah face🐆
A curious camel face🐪
Sorry I got a bit carried away with the alliteration there 😊

Its an interesting book to be fair....its just factual

Doesn’t make any judgements about the morality of it

RufustheLanglovingreindeer · 25/01/2020 12:01

kittens

You’re right there

But the author is playing fast and loose with the concept of ‘invading’

UYScuti · 25/01/2020 12:04

You're so flustered that you're all over the place
Oh me too!! it's because you're a man we just get flustered and we can't think straight🙈 😊

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 25/01/2020 12:05

But the author is playing fast and loose with the concept of ‘invading’

So in the sense that drunk teenagers "invade" Magaluf, or..?

SueEllenMishke · 25/01/2020 12:05

Wow! Firstly I was calling the person I knew who shared some of your views disgusting.
Learn to read maybe?
Again, ALL your evidence is anecdotal. Show me some actual evidence that is objective.
I know men who have easier lives than I do but I'm intelligent enough to know that they don't necessarily represent society as a whole.
It's says a lot when you resort to insults because you have no actual argument.

UYScuti · 25/01/2020 12:06

Women and human really don't mix
Oh😳
Well....thank you for letting me know I shall completely refrain in future😊

RufustheLanglovingreindeer · 25/01/2020 12:06

I'm making judgements about the morality of it

Well yes, most people do

But the author doesnt...there are about 170+ Countries and its not that big a book

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 25/01/2020 12:06

(UY flutters her eyelashes coquettishly)

theflushedzebra · 25/01/2020 12:07

There's a certain sort of person that will use the term "vermin" to describe other human beings - and it's not the sort of person I would take any notice of their political ranting.

RufustheLanglovingreindeer · 25/01/2020 12:08

Grin

He uses the term ‘boots on the ground’ so in theory it includes countries where we have been invited so to speak
