She was convicted by a judge with form for misogyny, not a jury. How is her case not being deemed a mistrial?

I think the main thing here is she will be home. Where she will be surrounded by people that love her and want to protect her. Once she is home safe then her and her family can worry about overturning the charge etc. Right now she just needs to get home and safe.

Not a lawyer, but could a British court rule that her record wouldn't be counted against her here? I remember that this time last year, Harriet Wistrich and colleagues won criminal record expungement/sealing for some women who'd been prostituted as teens.

given the threats to sue her perhaps she should sue them for the revenge porn. She would never be able to collect anything awarded by a British court so may not feel it worth the effort though.

Would a British court have jurisdiction for a "revenge porn" case? It's a criminal offence here, although good luck extraditing the perps from Israel even if the CPS agreed to charge.
