Well. That's a bit of a leap, isn't it? She just asked a fairly innocuous question.

Because deep down, Jolyon knows that there are perverted males that would just love to go in women's toilets and changing rooms.

He knows arguing for gender self ID and an end to women only spaces puts him on very dodgy ground, and puts women at risk of those perverts. It's a case of "if the cap fits..."

This reminds me of the man that sued an airline because he found it insulting for them to suggest he want a safe person to seat next to an unaccompanied child.

When men put their feelings before safeguarding then its time for them to stop and take a long hard look at themselves.

I can't see at other reason for the invasions. I don't care if males cry that their feelings are hurt because of it. It could never outweigh the harm being done to women's bodies. Women are not insignificant collateral. It truly is a war on us.

Will it really? What about accidental misgendering?
Is it healthy for people's entire self-esteem and well-being to be in the hands of other people who may not even know them? It strikes me that people need to take more responsibility for themselves rather than trying to police the language of everyone else.

Jolyon is utterly awful isn't he? And apparently doesn't know that you should only use speech marks if It's a direct quote and not if, say, you are changing what someone said from people suffering from a delusion to 'delusional'.

I do't know whether he realises it not, but he is basically saying that women should shut up - they are not entitled to the female only spaces that women have fought for decades for - because some males want to identify as women now. And we should prioritise them.

We recognise that when a woman is in an abusive relationship and tries to stand up to the man and say no to his demands / walk away / see him for what he is, his threats to kill himself are a form of control. This is the same. “If I kill myself it’s your fault because you didn’t do what I commanded.”

It starts with acquiring influence and thus power in one's own domain and then using that to acquire influence and thus power in neighbouring domains.

Jo Maugham mentioned in a tweet the other day that he has a close friend/family member (can't remember which) who is trans. So his increasingly bonkers tweets need to be seen in that context - I get the impression he feels he needs to fight on that person's behalf.

I think he has a relative or loved one who is trans. Which has totally blinded him to all other considerations. He really has not applied any thinking to this and certainly won’t listen to women.

Yes, lots of us are fighting this for, specifically, our own daughters, and in general, for the safety and dignity of women, Jolyon. I have no idea why he thinks his loved one's rights trump my daughter's rights?
