In an attempt to show both sides of the GC / self-ID can be vile he takes offence at "Why is it so important to you that men are able to access our facilities? Is it personal?". Why? Because he says such a suggestion is equivalent to calling him a "pervert". So there you have it, agreement that men who want to be in female toilets tend to have a dubious sexual motivation.

His "wife's" kimono?... hmmmm

Tocopherol · 26/12/2019 13:30

I'm slightly miffed that I vocally supported this person over the semi-doxxing*. Doxxing is not OK at all but now I feel like I wasted my energy.

  • he'd actually done an interview with local news about restoring the windmill so it wasn't a secret.
RoyalCorgi · 26/12/2019 13:35

Love the Wild Woman Writing blogpost linked to by LangCleg.

The story has now made the Guardian and the Mail and probably other outlets as well. Great news for someone who appears to crave attention.

Binterested · 26/12/2019 13:37

Yes it’s really well written. And swiftly done too. I’m still in my trackies eating chocolate Grin

DecemberDays · 26/12/2019 14:46

What a bizarre point at the end of the Guardian article - how do his tweets and the harm done by factory farming relate? Is it a deflection to - oh look, go and concentrate on the real baddies?!?

TinselAngel · 26/12/2019 14:48

His "wife's" kimono?... hmmmm

Yes, precisely.

elfonshelf · 26/12/2019 14:48

It's one of his new causes for 2020.

Tocopherol · 26/12/2019 15:01

Keeping some chickens in your garden is hardly a "tooth and claw" experience . Yes, they die. Yes, they get some unpleasant diseases and parasites. Yes, sometimes they fight. But it's really quite easy to build a sturdy fox-proof enclosure at that scale, (especially if you are wealthy)and it's not more brutal or dirty than keeping a few guinea pigs or rabbits. I would like to know if he'd have acted the same way if it was someone's loose dog.

"Gosh Margaret, I'm so sorry but poor Chase got in a pickle trying to get to my hens so I had no choice but to bash his brains in. Hope you understand!"

happydappy2 · 26/12/2019 15:28

To kill an uninjured, defenceless small animal with a baseball bat is horrific. I wonder if he was still drunk & made a huge error of judgement? To boast about it on Twitter-not a good look

EwwSprouts · 26/12/2019 15:30

Chris Packham has come out in condemnation saying should have had better fence round chickens.

It sounds like a classic townie-sees-wildlife-and-overreacts story. Not sure why he felt the need to share his testerical episode with the whole world?
Weird. That poor fox.

theflushedzebra · 26/12/2019 16:51

Awful. Awful man to club a fox to death, and then laugh about it on Twitter. It's barbaric, and I hope the rspca do something about this.

God though - the parallels with his arguments on twitter are uncanny....foxes in the henhouse, baseball bats, wife's kimono... you couldn't make it up.

AutumnRose1 · 26/12/2019 16:53

But Londoners see foxes all the time!

But I’m seriously starting to wonder how this story can be so perfect.

Binterested · 26/12/2019 16:58

Agree autumnrose. Foxes are a daily sight here in London. I saw one walking down Baker St in mid afternoon a few months ago.

ThePurported · 26/12/2019 17:14

But Londoners see foxes all the time

True, but rarely have to 'deal' with them.

And what's with the ŕecurring 'wife's kimono' theme? Why does he feel the need to mention it?!

Billy21 · 26/12/2019 17:33

Backing onto old railway line, foxes are aplenty. Here is one in my garden the other week. We live and let live round here.

This is psycopathic behaviour.

RoyalCorgi · 26/12/2019 18:19

This is psycopathic behaviour.

Do you think so? I can't quite decide. I agree most of us would shy away from bludgeoning a wild animal to death with a baseball bat, let alone boasting about it on Twitter. But I imagine in a lot of cultures it would be considered quite normal. Perhaps he thought it was kinder than letting it suffer (though I'm sceptical about this).

And most people have no qualms about eating meat, which is the same thing - the brutal killing of an animal - but at one remove. It's outsourcing the killing to someone else so is arguably no more morally acceptable.

It's gone global Grin

ConfessionsOfTeenageDramaQueen · 26/12/2019 19:04

How does he know it was a fox and not a fox that identified as a chicken?

NotAssigned · 26/12/2019 19:04

The wife's kimono explains so much, albeit not about foxes.

theflushedzebra · 26/12/2019 19:26

I do think it's a bit psychopathic to club a fox to death with a baseball bat - I can't imagine doing this, or any man I know doing this!

If we had this happen to us, I would have found a way to free the fox, or called the RSPCA. I did call the RSPCA for a fox on the side of the road once, it had been hit by a car, but was still alive and thrashing about. They came out to it.

I'm beyond Shock at this - the fact that he did it, and the way he spoke about it online, having a laugh about it. I wrote on the other thread about him that I think he's losing it - I now think he's unhinged. Nasty piece of work.

FloralFestiveBunting · 26/12/2019 19:33

Yeah, I think clubbing a trapped animal to death is pretty bloody scary, and indicates a rather troubled individual. This isn't just snapping the neck of a mortally wounded and suffering bird, which still takes a strong stomach.
To kill something the size of a fox with a baseball bat requires significant physical force and determination. I wouldn't like to be alone in a dark alley with a man who thought it was a casual Boxing Day morning jape.
