I know there is a split of opinion about spoiling ballots vs voting for the least bad option.

If you do decide to spoil your ballot it feel free to post a photo of it here (be careful not to include any information that identifies you and in particular not to include the ballot's unique identification number) in case any of our loitering journalists wish to pick up the story or in the hope of giving the parties/candidates some pause for thought.

In case it is of interest (and you want a place to post your views for/against spoiling ballots), there have been a number of threads about spoiling ballots, a few links below:

I've asked this question several times, but I will ask it again. Given the choice of voting Tory or spoiling my ballot, what would you rather I do?

I'd also like this answered, because that's the same situation I was in. Should I have voted Tory, given that it's such a heinous act to spoil my ballot?

TiredofthisBS · 12/12/2019 20:51

Yes, Pencils. You've missed out on all the fun Grin but I get to call myself a disappointing woman now.

VMisaMarshmallow · 12/12/2019 20:51

90s good to know we have you to tell us how we are doing feminism all wrong. Where would we be without you.

TiredofthisBS · 12/12/2019 20:53

Might have to get a t-shirt proclaiming myself as a feminist, Vmisa because that's what proper feminists do innit?

tellmewhenthespaceshiplandscoz · 12/12/2019 20:56

It's also very tiresome listening to you spout bolliocks, 90s.

Stopthisnow · 12/12/2019 20:57

Spoilt mine with ‘repeal the GRA’, ‘females deserve sex based rights’ Also put a female symbol in the labour box. So has another family member. Won’t make any difference sitting MP has been here for several decades and has a massive majority.

TiredofthisBS · 12/12/2019 20:57

On second thoughts I'll stick to my Woman: Adult Human Female t-shirt because that one rocksSmile

GCAcademic · 12/12/2019 20:59

Just an hour until the exit poll now. Then I'm sure there'll be a new wave of people along to tell us what disappointing women we are, and how we should be sucking dick for socialism (still aghast at that one).

PJsatMidday · 12/12/2019 21:00

I want a t-shirt with "Disappointing Woman" on!

tellmewhenthespaceshiplandscoz · 12/12/2019 21:01

I think in a sea of papers with a single cross seeing these illustrated ones with messages would make a long night more interesting, if I was counting this evening

VMisaMarshmallow · 12/12/2019 21:04

Absolutely tired. How can we possibly know what we stand for if it’s not written in teeny letters across our breasts.

When I was a teen I had one saying ‘if you are close enough to read this then you are too close to the centre of the world’. Thank god we have come so far as to say ‘I suck cock for socialism’, aren’t we so much more enlightened and liberated these days.

While I’ve been lounging in the bath with wine and my penis doodles in bath crayons I’ve had a great time falling down the rabbit hole into og you tube. In particular I found the satire of miss California Lisa Nova did I had forgotten about altogether. It was very apt - ‘I hope you respect my rights as I disrespect yours’ fits trans ideology and awa ideally as well as the behaviour of all the pop in posters on this thread. Berate us repeatedly while demanding we be nice to them.

Think what you like. I didn't even bother reading them beyond checking there wasn't a valid vote.

VMisaMarshmallow · 12/12/2019 21:09

Disappointing women sounds great. Reminds me of the when I am old I will wear purple poem, where she’s glad to get older and unattractive and no longer has to gaf and please others. I don’t remember it well but wearing purple and banging railings with a cane and not saying sorry featured I think. I’d like a big purple T-shirt with disappointing woman on it.

NickelADimeCandy · 12/12/2019 21:10

It's a daft question. Vote Tory if you want.

GCAcademic · 12/12/2019 21:12

I want a t-shirt with "Disappointing Woman" on!

"Disappointing Adult Human Female", surely Wink

Though I'm sure some of our detractors would prefer us to be a "Disappointing Cis Woman". Or "Disappointing Cervix Haver". Optional accessory, scold's bridle.

BernardBlacksWineIceLolly · 12/12/2019 21:12

another scoldy one!

voting = good

got no further thoughts

BeyondVotesForFlube · 12/12/2019 21:15

How about... "Disappointing woman - not even proper, actual socialism is worth sucking cock for. Ewww"

TiredofthisBS · 12/12/2019 21:18

Hahahahaha I want one too @PJsatMidday

FlyingOink · 12/12/2019 21:18

Labour made the choice to pursue this policy, knowing full well how unpopular it is with women. If they cared about the poor, the disabled, the NHS, etc. they would have put aside the middle-class liberal identity politics and focused on getting women's votes.

Echoing this poster from earlier.

Spoiled my ballot but no privacy to take a pic.

tellmewhenthespaceshiplandscoz · 12/12/2019 21:18

I will, thanks Confused

Hopeforthemany · 12/12/2019 21:18

This thread has been a real eye opener. It’s been interesting seeing what feminist actually think of the GRA and main political parties.

Thank you.

FlyingOink · 12/12/2019 21:19

It's amazing how angry people get when women have the audacity to disagree with them

testing987654321 · 12/12/2019 21:19

Spoilt mine with "being a woman is not a feeling".

I know it probably won't make any difference but I am in a safe Labour seat and I can't bring myself to vote for anyone who will bring in self id.

I think it's so important that we get back to having commonly understood words to describe the sexes. I don't think that's too much to ask.

PJsatMidday · 12/12/2019 21:24

Another fucking seagull spectacularly missing the point. I don't want to vote Tory. I want to (and did) spoil my ballot. Some disingenuous posters are banging on about suffragettes and wasting our privilege, when their real agenda is, not to have us vote per se, but to guilt us into voting Labour or LibDem. So I am asking them, as you hate the Tories, would you rather I voted for them or spoiled my ballot? That question was not aimed at someone who hitherto has not posted on this thread.

EdithWeston · 12/12/2019 21:28

Which women are you thinking of? Those with direct experience of the count who are pointing out that no-one will pay the slightest attention to how a vote is spoiled (only looking to check that it could nit possibly be interpreted as a valid vote)?

Because it is quite noticeable that there experience is repeatedly belittled
