it's OK SapphosRock, I get it, you measure people's worth by the wealth they generate and how much they contribute to GDP. I mean it;s so anti feminist it;s not even in the foothills of feminism, but it's what you think and that's fine

SapphosRock · 02/12/2019 13:22

Oh BernardBlacksWineIceLolly no you really don't get it. I suggest you Google a bit of rad fem theory before posting any more.

Datun · 02/12/2019 13:22

Being a feminist shows a primary motivation to help women.

Without that primary motivation it just comes across as hate speech.

IIt's disturbing that feminists overlook this just because she is GC.*

She isn't a feminist. Last time.

She doesn't 'work' with white supremacists.

You don't need surgery to get a GRC.

You can absolutely campaign to repeal the GRA, as it's an obsolete piece of legislation.

A man can present how he wants without a GRC.

Women are oppressed because of their sex. No feminist accepts that men can define the word women.

A great number of transwomen are autogynephiles. Enabling their fetish at the expense of women is wrong.

Men with gender dysphoria does not, in any way, come under the remit of feminism.

WeDieAndSeeBeautyReign · 02/12/2019 13:42

Radical feminists argue girls are socialised to believe they deserve no better than to stay at home while a man goes out to work. It's one of the core concepts of it

I'm not a feminist of any kind but I'm fairly certain that is not a radical feminist argument. Radical feminists would argue that the very important role of raising children is devalued and that staying at home with them is a valuable contribution to the good of the children which should be recognised and valued.

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 02/12/2019 13:44

It's like reading a car manual translated from French to Japanese by a person who doesn't speak either language fluently, and also who has never seen a car.

BovaryX · 02/12/2019 13:55

I disapprove of her, so you must denounce her, otherwise I will be very upset and go on and on (and fucking on) about it

Precisely. It’s a desire to dictate the narrative, an obsession with identity labels and a dreary attempt to demonise via guilt by association. Logical fallacies? Yep. Freedom of speech and critical thinking? Absent. The aim? Silencing a woman because she keeps challenging the compelled speech choir. It doesn’t seem to be working.

Butterisbest · 02/12/2019 13:55

SapphosRock
I didn't tell anyone to fuck off and you know that I didn't. I'm not bothered about engaging or discussing anything with you, you've proved yourself to be a liar on this thread. I'm not very good with liars.
I also don't post to get anyone to agree with me.
I'm very interested in learning more and more about the gradual erasing of women's rights. I've learned nothing from you today but I've learned what logical fallacy means and how it's used. That's been very informative.

SapphosRock · 02/12/2019 14:05

Datun a couple of questions for you.

  1. Are you happy to forgive Donald Trump for his 'grab by the pussy' comment because he apologised?
  1. What do you believe motivates Posie Parker?

I agree with your other statements in the main.

NotDavidTennant · 02/12/2019 14:07

Radical feminists are allowed to like people who are not radical feminists. It's not like a cult where you get thrown out for associating with non-believers.

BovaryX · 02/12/2019 14:08

The guilt by association Logical fallacy train just keeps chuntering on ..,,,

TruthOnTrial · 02/12/2019 14:14

At your school your voice as a woman is only hate speech, unless you are a fully signed up member to your school

That is pretty vile hate speech dontcha thunk (I didn't go to your school) so all I say is hate speech, as you are the master of who's allowed to say what.

You couldn't honestly make it up Grin Grin

I know so many women who are not happy innone areas or anothtwith resoext to their treatment as women, they didn't go to to your school either.

What about the men who want to support womens rights are they speaking hate also.

Datun · 02/12/2019 14:18

Datun a couple of questions for you.

1. Are you happy to forgive Donald Trump for his 'grab by the pussy' comment because he apologised?

2. What do you believe motivates Posie Parker?

I agree with your other statements in the main.

No. He's a serial offender and not sincere. I don't believe him. I do believe Posie. She has said numerous times that she's not constrained by someone's political affiliations, and 'guilt by association'. She couldn't care less.

Also if you have to compare sexual assaults with talking to someone whose opinions aren't your opinions, something's wrong.

Posie Parker is motivated by a profound desire to protect children. It's in everything she does, says, writes. Together with the material reality of what a woman is. A woman is not a man with gender dysphoria, nor a cross dressing fetishist.

Hence AHF.

Butterisbest · 02/12/2019 14:20

I'm getting flashbacks to a poster from a long time ago. Antifa, they kept insisting that Posie was our leader too and that she was a bad bad woman. She wasn't womanning correctly. She was speaking the truth and she was being mean and she was associating with really baaaad people.

Datun · 02/12/2019 14:22

She certainly riles people up.

She should change her name to Posie Streisand. Give people a heads up, save time.

SapphosRock · 02/12/2019 14:26

Thanks for the reply Datun I think you are being too forgiving of PP and I am perhaps being too harsh. I'm sure she does care immensely about children I'll give her that.

BarbaraStrozzi · 02/12/2019 14:26

It's like reading a car manual translated from French to Japanese by a person who doesn't speak either language fluently, and also who has never seen a car.

Brilliant.

I keep picturing "radical feminist school" as a kind of Viz version of the Bash Street Kids, with Milly Tant as Teacher.

SapphosRock · 02/12/2019 14:35

I agree a couple of gems have been posted about Radical Feminsm on this thread.

Radical feminists would argue that the very important role of raising children is devalued and that staying at home with them is a valuable contribution to the good of the children which should be recognised and valued.

Point me to a radical feminist who has said this?

you measure people's worth by the wealth they generate and how much they contribute to GDP.

Where to even start with this?

BovaryX · 02/12/2019 14:46

Sapphos, why? You seem to think you can order posters to answer your incoherent questions. Why don’t you point me to an astronaut who says the moon is made of feta cheese? The only person who introduced radical feminist to this debate was you. You know. After calling PP a ‘scary 1950s housewife’ Is the Logical Fallacy train approaching its final destination?

SapphosRock · 02/12/2019 14:55

Why don’t you point me to an astronaut who says the moon is made of feta cheese?

It would probably be easier! Grin

BernardBlacksWineIceLolly · 02/12/2019 14:57

I think it's time for a rousing chorus of 'Hail to the penis', or possibly 'round and round and round we go, where are we going? who the fuck knows?'

BernardBlacksWineIceLolly · 02/12/2019 15:01

dealing with a self identified radical feminist who thinks women's worth should be measured by their ability to work like men and earn like good little capitalists is leaving me totally Confused

KristinaM · 02/12/2019 15:04

Some people seem to get really REALLY angry with a woman who disagrees with them, centres women and children and doesn’t feel the need to be nice.

Clearly its even worse if that woman is pretty.

BovaryX · 02/12/2019 15:08

Bernard,
It’s interesting isn’t it? The failure to grasp that it’s possible to agree with a rational argument presented by an articulate woman who doesn’t conform to a cliched stereotype imposed by her detractors who demonstrate such a narrow ideological conformity.....,

TinselAngel · 02/12/2019 15:08

You wouldn't know my radical feminism, it goes to a different school.

BovaryX · 02/12/2019 15:17

Of course the most significant point here is for this issue to gain serious political traction it needs the support of people who absolutely don’t identify as radical feminists. That is happening because the Maya and Harry cases are about freedom of speech. And that has amplified this to a whole bunch of Conservative Telegraph readers. Maybe that’s why this forum seems to be under siege......
