I think she is funny and sassy and doesn't take herself too seriously. Her dude looks like a lady piece on IACeleb showed her humor.
However tonight she said that it's hard work becoming a women as there is so much more work (James called it women admin) and that she needs to get up an hour earlier now she is a women and can't just shower and go.
Why does this make you a woman. I wash and go, I don't have manicures nor do I wear make up, I do not get up early to get ready but I'm equally a woman. Why should woman equal groomed?

OP posts:

Half of us get your point OP. The rest of the women posting on here are too woke to care.

I too liked Caitlyn on the show and was surprised at how funny Caitlyn was. However, I still do not consider that Caitlyn can speak for women. But the rest of the contestants were annoying so I won’t be watching.

Namechanger23455 · 20/11/2019 22:11

I can’t just wash and go and it takes me much longer to get ready than it does my hubby. That’s my personal experience, her personal experience is that It takes long to get ready than it previously did.
Your personal experience is that it doesn’t. Don’t see the big deal

Butterisbest · 20/11/2019 22:11

For Caitlyn the first and most important part of being a woman is the hair, clothes, breasts, make up. For many women it's not all that important.
Caitlyn is the reason I won't be watching any of this series of I'm a Celebrity, Ant is another reason.
I'll stop there. Lest I get a strike

abouttime2 · 20/11/2019 22:15

She was talking about herself. It take HER longer to get ready than before her transition. Ie her hair/makeup regime.

tillytoodles1 · 20/11/2019 22:16

It's "man I feel like woman". He/she is not a woman, they're transgender. They try very hard to look like a female, but basically they are built like a man.

Juliehooligan · 20/11/2019 22:18

I thought the comment was quite funny, especially as the experience of women taking ages getting ready was living in a houseful of Kardashians/Jenners!

Bufferingkisses · 20/11/2019 22:18

The thing is, I totally agree that Caitlyn can't talk for women. However Caitlyn can speak for Caitlyn without it being a judgement on all women who do not "woman" in the way that Caitlyn "womans".

I agree that women don't have to do all that to be a woman.

CoolCarrie · 20/11/2019 22:18

I totally agree with you Butterisbest.I find it creepy that Jenner choose the same name, albeit different spelling to their ex daughter in law. .

littlecabbage · 20/11/2019 22:18

It's annoying because Caitlyn is saying they NEED to do this extra grooming as a woman, not that they want to. Implying that all women SHOULD be doing this in order to be "proper" women. It is gender stereotyping.

Yes, many women DO spend more time grooming than men, but that is their choice, and it is not what defines them as women. Caitlyn is stereotyping womem by implying they (Caitlyn) are forced to do this (rather than enjoying doing it) IN ORDER to be a true woman.

FamilyOfAliens · 20/11/2019 22:20

However tonight she said that it's hard work becoming a women

No matter how much “hard work” a man puts in, he will never become a woman because it’s impossible to change sex.

Mrsmadevans · 20/11/2019 22:20

She's lovely l think she will win it , l hope so anyway . I think she wants to look good so she thinks she has to work at it, this could be to do with her age as much as anything though imho .

EmpressLesbianInChair · 20/11/2019 22:23

So someone more gorgeous, more feminine and more groomed is more ‘woman’ than me?

All you have to do to be a woman is be born with XX chromosomes & a vulva, then grow up.

OhHolyJesus · 20/11/2019 22:25

What Butter said.

Dangerous driving isn't the only thing Ant and CJ have in common.

ShesDressedInBlackAgain · 20/11/2019 22:27

I'm finding the pronouning on this thread really jarring.

Anyone else?

Butterisbest · 20/11/2019 22:28

Oh Holy 🤣🤣

Butterisbest · 20/11/2019 22:29

She's dressed, that's why I can't continue

That and the gushing. Hmm

Not just you, I'm finding the repeated use of her name over and over by some posters to avoid saying a pronoun in a sentence and the use of they for her too jarring (using your jarring word for want of a better one)
That's what you meant right?

I always think that it's better not to spend too much time getting ready or you might, for example, have to drive too fast when you're running late That can be very dangerous. Just saying. But... you know... brave and stunning...

Pandaintheporridge · 20/11/2019 22:33

Aye that'll be it.

ShesDressedInBlackAgain · 20/11/2019 22:33

Qcng · 20/11/2019 22:34

If CJ had said "...so much more work in becoming a transwoman" I'd be 100% sympathetic to CJ.

It's the phrase "... becoming a woman" that's a bit irksome, because, soz babe, unfortunately CJ you didn't become a woman, you became a transwoman which is really really fine.

I get what you're trying to say, OP.

ShesDressedInBlackAgain · 20/11/2019 22:35

You're finding that jarring on FWR? Grin

You must be permanently all ajar Willis.
