K, I have a feeling that the anti-freespeech anti-truth TRA mob might just regret trying to get you to stfu too

That kinda stings for an outspoken adult human female like me, but hey I'll take it

Have you seen Glinner's thoughts on this whole shit show ?

HandsOffMyRights · 19/11/2019 21:38

Hi Trigger and thank you for the interview.

I watched 45 mins last night and was going to watch the rest tonight, so gutted it's been removed.

Surprised? No. She touches the nerve of truth and we can't have that in the totalitarian state that is self ID can we?

I hope this shines more light on why those questioning gender ideology are silenced. I see this as no different to being closed down for drawing a satirical cartoon or writing a 'controversial' text that dares to ask questions over religion or extremism.

GiveMyHeadPeaceffs · 19/11/2019 22:05

The full version is still available on Spotify...for now.

Triggerpod · 19/11/2019 22:05

I agree @HandsOffMyRights

I know you ladies have a particular issue with the gender ideology but for us this is about a much broader struggle which is the shutting down of debate in general.

As I said to Posie in the interview, unfortunately feminists have to take some responsibility for opening the door to this with the whole "speaking as a woman" nonsense. I know this isn't a popular thing to say on the Mumsnet feminist forum Grin but as long as we have identity politics we will have creeping authoritarianism.

Of course different groups have their own issues but shutting people down because of their genitals or skin colour has to end. We really wish more people understood this.

And yes, @AnyFucker - they will regret fucking with us.

Melroses · 19/11/2019 22:20

Well, speaking as a woman, I normally get ignored or talked over. So censoring has some novelty factor. Wink

LangCleg · 19/11/2019 22:24

I demand you take back saying you ladies right now or I'll, I'll, I'll, do something feminazi like. Or something!

All the LOLs.

Anyway. Do stick around Konstantin. It was a good interview and it should never have been taken down.

Also: in actual feminism, the kind we practice hereabouts, woman is not a bloody identity. It's a material reality. With concomitant needs and requirements that differ from those of men (however they bloody well identify). Please do not blame us for the identifarian faux feminists. We don't like them much either.

FloralBunting · 19/11/2019 22:24

Trigger, IdPol is a bastardization of feminist thought as far as I'm concerned. There's nothing inherent in the idea of women's liberation that necessitates any kind of totalitarian shutting down of other voices. I'm very much a Posie-style, 'make your case, be prepared for a counter argument, don't just whine about safe spaces and being offended' kind of feminist, and in fact I started out from a free speech position and eventually became a feminist that way round. Any way, point is, right behind you.

Butterisbest · 19/11/2019 22:25

Yes, this is when Posie called you a MRA. As a woman, I take no fucking responsibility for Men that want to identify as women invading and commandeering Women's private spaces. I take no responsibility for those that wish to obliterate the definition of Woman. I'm not responsible for Men's Rights Activists. The only people that are responsible for this attempt to erase women are Men.

AnyFucker · 19/11/2019 22:26

Brilliant Grin

LangCleg · 19/11/2019 22:33

I want to make an upside down joke but I can't think of anything pithy enough.

Anyfucker?

AnotherLass · 19/11/2019 22:39

"...feminists have to take some responsibility for opening the door to this with the whole "speaking as a woman" nonsense."

I personally agree with this, though maybe I'll be in the minority! The endless ad hominems of identity politics make me feel ill, as they are profoundly opposed to the idea of rational debate. I want to engage with what people say, not who they are.

Of course there is a GRAIN of truth in it, as women, black people etc. do have unique experiences. As I'm white, I would be cautious weighing in too heavily on a discussion about racism. However, it easily goes way too far and ends up with the death of rationality.

"speaking as a woman" who has been blocked, silenced and dismissed by women for saying that biological facts matter...my conclusion is that being a wanker is not a sex linked trait.

Handmaidens are silly.

You can f*ck right off with this attitude.

Men of all flavours (free speech / libertarians etc etc) have been telling women that there are bigger issues that women should join men to fight rather then their “particular issues”.

Surprise surprise, that men always have bigger issues on hand then women’s particular issues, how about but for once men consider women’s particular issues more important then any thing else.

Men are responsible for this not women - of any flavour, men did not jump on the trans racial identity because that would impact black and white men but they jumped on the trans gender identity because it only impacts women and they can shout kill the t*rf type misogyny at women openly again with applause.

So you can fck off over there and then fck off even more.

Triggerpod · 19/11/2019 22:54

Good to see you have a range of opinions here :)

Yours sincerely, your favourite "MRA" :D

Justhadathought · 19/11/2019 22:59

How about 'Men who identify as Women'. That sounds just about fair and accurate for everyone. It acknowledges 'gender identity', whilst also acknowledging the reality of biological sex.

Justhadathought · 19/11/2019 23:01

That is not to say, I personally recognise such a thing as gender identity, even though some seem to

'Identity' doesn't trump the reality of sex, however.

AnyFucker · 19/11/2019 23:03

I also don't agree with what you said there, K, but I can match your anger at being silenced

I hope you lend your weight in any way you can to shine light on these fuckers who are trying to control the prevailing narrative. As a journalist and a broadcaster, you have more poke than I do, for sure

FloralBunting · 19/11/2019 23:20

See, I'm almost getting a nostalgic thrill for being able to openly, swearily disagree with someone with different views without either of us running off to the teachers moaning about how wounded we are.

Breath of fucking fresh air.

Butterisbest · 19/11/2019 23:46
