Any more information out there on this?

OP posts:

I see someone is trying (predictably) to go after Allison Bailey by posting this:

Hugh is my cousin GrinWink

AncientLights · 23/10/2019 22:52

'You don't get to choose who you support' makes my blood run cold. How much clearer can they make It?

AutumnRose1 · 23/10/2019 23:46

Actually that statement has given me a bit of a lightbulb moment

Coupled with some reading I've been doing and all the PITA stuff Londoners had to deal with last week.....it's all just disruptors. Disruption is the end game. Like the person who injects nastiness into the work environment because they find it fun. And presumably have no life apart from it.

OvaHere · 23/10/2019 23:47

This was trending when I logged on to Twitter. A lot of the tweets are TRAs being 'how very dare they' but it's all publicity and I expect many people will be quietly thinking it's about time this happened.

Italiangreyhound · 24/10/2019 00:23

Very brave people.

I am so glad there is support for LGB people.

I also want support for trans people but I am very happy to see a specific group for LGB.

There are many groups supporting people of different ethnic origins or people with different disabilities/different abilities etc.

And we never say to someone you can't join a support group for people from India unless you also join a group for people from Jamaica; or you can't donate to RNIB unless you donate to wheels for the world, or whatever.

We know people can support different groups and we don't need everything to be rolled into one.

Thanks

Melroses "It is at the 'leaving an abusive relationship' stage."

It does feel very bitter. If you want to look out for your own rights or own opportunities then you are somehow betraying others. I think the TRAs just do not realise how far they have pushed people.

If they were not constantly blurring lines, demanding that people stfu etc and encouraging children to transition that maybe people would have been fooled for longer.

I know and love trans people, but I don't love the control from TRAs, they just made it too easy to leave.

WrathofSIxFootSIxElfKlop · 24/10/2019 00:35

I disagree
The TRAs know very well how far they are pushing people.

WrathofSIxFootSIxElfKlop · 24/10/2019 00:37

Wolves in sheep's clothing.

AutumnRose1 · 24/10/2019 00:52

I really think the group will be banned by the time I wake up.

Meanwhile, I'm wondering if Mr "you don't get to choose who you support" is trolling.

Italiangreyhound · 24/10/2019 00:57

WrathofSIxFootSIxElfKlop maybe so.

Maybe don't care rather than don't know! I was a big trans supporter (still am really) until I started reading a lot more about the subject. Probably just like most here. Haloween Sad

NeurotrashWarrior · 24/10/2019 06:15

It's currently trending in twitter but TRAs and co are saying it's a hate group. There's been a second twitter account set up anti the group.

the new group LGB Alliance, is @AllianceLgb.

please challenge the new Trans twitter @lgballiance

Igneococcus · 24/10/2019 06:31

"Short report"
I shouldn't type in the semi dark.

Igneococcus · 24/10/2019 06:34

And Janice Turner mentions it in her regular Thursday column

www.thetimes.co.uk/article/stonewall-has-lost-its-way-on-the-trans-issue-hd3lw08wb?shareToken=baccf7e934772b63afb8d1118c21e8bc

AncientLights · 24/10/2019 06:35

TRAs think everyone else is a 'hate group'. Shows a certain level of paranoia, I fear.

Btw I looked up hate group but couldn't find an actual definition - plenty about hate crimes though. Anyone know the definition the legal system works to?

NonnyMouse1337 · 24/10/2019 06:44

Wrong pronouns are literal violence and setting up a group that focuses on issues other than trans stuff is a hate group. Confused
These people are such a joke lol.

NeurotrashWarrior · 24/10/2019 06:50

Shoer ewpoe

SarahTancredi · 24/10/2019 06:56

I see our favourite biology denying medical person is back hating lesbians. Genital preferences are ok for him but a trans woman still is a lesbian as far as pesky xx women are concerned.

Igneococcus · 24/10/2019 07:01

I'm on a FB group to save Glen Etive from hydro power dams (we failed) and the woman who set it up starts every post with "rrrrrroooooaaaaarrr". Maybe I was channeling her *neurotrashwarrior"

NeurotrashWarrior · 24/10/2019 07:56

Ig certainly a way to get noticed! May try on twitter....

WrathofSIxFootSIxElfKlop · 24/10/2019 08:49

I also used to be a trans supporter.

Not anymore.

Fieldofgreycorn · 24/10/2019 09:00

An organisation fighting to free gays and lesbians from the tyranny of trans rIghts?
I can’t see it catching on. Also imagine most mainstream media will refer to it as ‘anti-trans group’. Interesting to see how much funding it will attract.

Melroses · 24/10/2019 09:09

The Janice Turner piece is good, as usual. She very succinctly writes about Stonewall's reinterpretation of the law - '"Stonewall Law"

2BthatUnnoticed · 24/10/2019 09:17

An org to represent L, G and B people - those who no longer feel represented by Stonewall. LGBs who are happy with Stonewall can stay with it, those who are not now have their own org. Win/win, surely!
