Does anyone else find that when there's a petition or a crowdfunder, they're desperate for a graph of how it's growing over time? There ought to be a way to see that on the crowdfunding page, there isn't is there? Or an app?

BingBongSong · 05/11/2019 01:17

80% Smile.

The messages of support are really encouraging.

I like that. Looks like one half of a hard hat.

thirdfiddle · 07/11/2019 18:07

Oh no, just realised I posted my picture of a nearly dug hole upside down!

OhHolyJesus · 07/11/2019 18:16

That flat bit in the middle is the time it was closed down after the attempt from the TRAs to shut it down. It would have been a different picture otherwise but it hasn't made an impact. It's at 88%, has 23 days to go and there have been some big donations.

Aside from the money, the comments couldn't be clearer, this is so needed.

EmpressLesbianInChair · 07/11/2019 18:17

90%!!! Brilliant, despite all the resistance to gay rights from some quarters Hmm

thatdamnwoman · 09/11/2019 12:34

Come on, let's push to get this up to £25,000 this weekend.

EmpressLesbianInChair · 09/11/2019 17:45

Only £275 to go!

Sally Hines must be feeling thoroughly pissed off. She had a go at the LGBA on Twitter and their supporters hit back. twitter.com/sally_hines/status/1192727745337450497?s=20

You're right, sorry!

There does seem to be a bit of a targeted backlash going on in the twittersphere. Are they worried?

gal-dem.com/fuck-the-lgb-alliance/

Wow.

’Allison Bailey is now facing an investigation from her employer Garden Court Chambers due to her stance going directly against the chambers’ views on equality. The alliance keeps responding to criticism reiterating that the group is not transphobic, and they don’t aim to exclude trans people. A look at their Twitter followers, however, proves otherwise. They also have support of known transphobes Janice Turner, Sarah Ditum and Katie Hopkins.’ Hmm

thirdfiddle · 24/11/2019 10:37

That's so scraping the bottom of the barrel it's funny. This organisation is transphobic because some of their supporters are on a list of people we've put on our list of bad people. By that measure, every political party, every charity, every organisation in the country is "transphobic". Which is no great surprise as it appears basic knowledge of biology or safeguarding qualifies one as transphobic these days.

Hopkins might actually be transphobic in a sense I'd agree to. Haven't seen her views on the matter. But all the crying wolf has removed any impact from the term. Even if Hopkins were, that's hardly LGB Alliance's responsibility is it.
