Upfield (manufacturers of Flora marg, and Proactiv) don't want Mumsnet to buy their products any more

They've made the decision to 'no longer work with Mumsnet' because they want to 'treat everyone equally' because of their 'values'.

By this I'm sure they mean any woman who uses this site should definitely NOT buy their products. That would be an unpleasant association between mumsnet and their values that would be too much to bear.

I am able to boycott because we eat the Can't Believe stuff. Though to be honest until this happened, I had no idea how much shit there was in these products. Yuk.

I think the best thing about this whole episode (and it's a crowded field) is the number of TRAs claiming to like Flora. Haven't they realised yet that once you say something online, it's there forever?

I feel quite smug that I'm a butter snob and never buy this plastic goop but it's tinged with disappointment that I can't boycott anything they appear to make.

The TRA's are quite welcome to keep sales afloat as far as I'm concerned. Top tip for Upfield - you might want to start producing all your packaging in pink and blue versions, so your new customer base can feel comfortable and validated.

Just eat the packaging. It could be more nutritious, I'm not sure, just guessing here. Might even taste nicer. Possibly even more likely to be vegan.
