Looks like the usual people turned up for a photo op at Manchester pride, though to be fare there were 11 not 8 as usual.

Carry on protesting because its a good reminder of the actual numbers if that is all the people that can protest the second biggest pride in the UK.

Good for them! It must be terrible to have been booed at Pride for highlighting the fact that lesbians are now expected to accept dick!

Michelleoftheresistance · 24/08/2019 17:50

What exactly are you hoping your post is going to achieve? What point are you making?

Is it 'give up your rights, you're all alone, just surrender now?'

FeckTheMagicDragon · 24/08/2019 17:52

Pretty much I expect Michelle. Either that or screen shots for Twitter :)

Sexnotgender · 24/08/2019 17:52

Well aren’t you a treat.

FormerMediocreMale · 24/08/2019 17:55

11 courageous women. Well done ladies, keep up the good work. People see you and the way you are treated and take note. Remember the why men became GC thread, men saw and went away to find out more. Grin

stealthsquirrelnutkin · 24/08/2019 17:55

Thanks for the photo, it's lovely to see brave women taking a stand against lesbophobia.

Considering the very real threat of violence it is amazing that there are any women at all who dare to risk being kerb stomped or having their brains dashed out by pastel painted baseball bats.

Men don't belong in women's spaces. They especially don't belong in lesbian spaces. Female homoSEXuals have a right (currently still enshrined in UK law) to protection from discrimination.

It is only the evils of #nodebate and the persecution of ordinary women by deranged narcissists that has allowed things to deteriorate to this extent.

Ordinary people do not agree that lesbians should retrain their bigoted brains until they are able to "cope" with having sexual relations with a "female" penis. Once they get over their shock and disbelief on first hearing about the cotton ceiling, (and their astonishment that their trusted news services, the BBC and Guardian have been enforcing a news black out on the subject) they are appalled. Rightly so.

JoxerGoesToStuttgart · 24/08/2019 17:57

These 8 (or 11) are taking up a hell of a lot of space in your head for someone who isn’t bothered by their presence.

AlwaysComingHome · 24/08/2019 17:59

Goady post.

Michelleoftheresistance · 24/08/2019 17:59

Really mean spirited, unpleasant post that radiates disrespect for women.

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 24/08/2019 17:59

Thanks for the update Bespin.

That's really great to hear so many brave women attended to protest (rather than simply just staying away)

Also good to hear that numbers are increasing Smile

Needmoresleep · 24/08/2019 18:03

Why shouldn't lesbians protest?

Is it because women are not allowed a voice?

Habbers · 24/08/2019 18:03

Yes, it's brilliant isn't it, bespin that lesbians are scared to go public?

Cut to the uproar on twitter with Janice Turner and Piers Morgan absolutely aghast that men are identifying as women in women's rugby.

No one thinks transwomen are women, I'm afraid. The fact that more outrage is generated through sport, than lesbianism, is a sign of misogyny, not a belief in transgenderism.

cwg1 · 24/08/2019 18:04

Thank you Bespin. You prompted me to go over to Twitter for more inspiring photos of courageous sisters and striking banners (I'm a bit of a banner nutGrin) I hope the protest went well - sorry I can't link easily but look for Lesbian Strength on Twitter.

I've lost count of all the different banners - can't wait for the Leeds event as I'm sure there'll be a great display of them.

SlowasaSnail · 24/08/2019 18:05

Brave women. Brava. Flowers

CodenameVillanelle · 24/08/2019 18:06

Thanks for sharing that bespin. Absolute sheros out there protesting a misogynist lesbophobic parody of a gay rights protest.

FeckTheMagicDragon · 24/08/2019 18:06

I used to be ‘polite and kind’. Not anymore. If you have a dick you are a man. Lesbians don’t want to fuck men. It’s kinda their choice, don’t you agree?

Birdsfoottrefoil · 24/08/2019 18:07

37% increase in women prepared to stand up against abuse, to be threatened with violence and to face profound hostility by aggressive males and their unthinking allies, in the matter of weeks. Just imagine how many that will be if you extrapolate across a year!

fiftyandfat · 24/08/2019 18:08

I think they are extremely brave.
I wouldn't have the courage myself, but I absolutely support them.
The truly shocking threats and actual violence inflicted on brave lesbians by men in recent years is something of which these amazing women will be well aware.

NotTerfNorCis · 24/08/2019 18:09

I see Twitter is headlining on this... 'marred by a protest from a small fringe group'.

Go, 'small fringe group'! Speak your truth to power!

MouthyHarpy · 24/08/2019 18:09

Bespin has found a dog whistle

RedDogsBeg · 24/08/2019 18:11

You are clearly really threatened by these women protesting for their sex based rights which are enshrined in Law Bespin.

If you were so confident that the general public agreed with you that a woman can be whoever says they are one and that a lesbian can be whoever says they are one and that a penis can be described as female genitalia if the owner of it says they are a woman then you wouldn't be at all bothered by these women saying what they are saying and doing what thy are doing.

Your fervent need to shut them up, belittle and dismiss these women says everything anyone needs to know about you and your views on women.

Floisme · 24/08/2019 18:12

What brave women.

Carry on posting Bespin - it's always interesting when the mask slips.

sackrifice · 24/08/2019 18:14

Bespin is always trying to get TRAs to come on here and pay attention to their posting but nobody ever does. Virtual hearty thumps on the back.

It's quite sad really.

CaptainKirksSpookyghost · 24/08/2019 18:15

Regardless of my opinions about protesting (I think protesters have no right to any opinion which isn't inline with that of the state) i have to admit, those 11 women have courage.

Carry on protesting because its a good reminder of the actual numbers if that is all the people that can protest the second biggest pride in the UK.

And yet look how far it's spreading, amazing 11 people with such far reaching influence...

It only goes to show what little people can do.

little people know
When little people fight,
We may look easy pickings
But they got some bite!
So never kick a dog
Because it's just a pup
You'd better run for cover when the pup grows up

they'll fight like twenty armies
And they won't give up

sueanddumplings · 24/08/2019 18:21

Tens of thousands of women have happily taken part in Pride events this year and yet you still believe the 'lesbians aren't welcome' line even when the same travelling circus of 8-11 bigots turn up and receive zero support for the umpteenth time. Confused
