Once upon a time lesbians and gay men were campaigning to be seen as just like everyone else, that our sexuality wasn't the most interesting thing about us and in the main wasn't worth commenting about. Now, who knows what the fuck has happened. This is not why I spent much of the 90s fighting for LGB rights and acceptance.

I did have a giggle about the fact that this pup thread was directly below the cujo one. That is the only humorous thing in this whole sad and sorry situation.

I agree with him on one thing. An event that is about sexuality isn't one for kids. Sexuality is pushed at children too much as it is.

But if they do think that - why all the kids stuff around? Children's toys, ball pits... plus in one pic they are interacting with children. It's really not OK.

If the pictures were what I saw on Pupchester's Twitter account I can understand why they had to go but why should discussion of this be prohibited?

If pride is not suitable for children then the organisers need to make sure that for eg children living in nearby residences are able to look out of their own windows and see this stuff, and not park pride right next to a children's playground , as happe ed with our local pride.
