How charming!

twitter.com/pupchester/status/1142449770893586432?s=21

When asked if he thought this was suitable entertainment for children before Pride, PupChester said no (see screenshot)

So if Pride is a celebration of fetish, why are our police and town councils supporting it so broadly? Why are we closing streets to parade BDSM fans?

Would explain my confusion!! They are not legally children where you are, they are where I am. Sorry.

Prawnofthepatriarchy · 29/06/2019 23:46

JackyHolyoake that bloke's Twitter account has been restricted due to something he posted about predators within the transgender movement. He's got a website but it's a nightmare to navigate on my phone. It's impossible to find what I'm looking for.

HorsewithnoPissToTake · 30/06/2019 07:42

Yeah, I know a Scottish bloke in his twenties and there's no way he can be regarded as an adult.

scotsheather · 30/06/2019 21:17

Chances are its a pisstake as in hey I identify as a dog.

OhHolyJesus · 06/08/2019 15:11

The reply from my local Pride organisers was that it is family friendly and everyone should wear what they feel comfortable in, so not a clear yes or no as to whether fetish gear is allowed or can be expected. I asked repeatedly for a clear answer and nothing. Not sure how to take it further. I'm not going to go but I don't want to leave it unchallenged. Repeating a vague answer is not an answer, it's more like a chant and it reminds me of something...

ArnoldWhatshisknickers · 06/08/2019 16:07

OhHolyJesus

I haven't RTFT so apologies in advance if you've already tried this, but perhaps a specific either/or question might be worth a try.

As in 'Is your event family friendly OR do you permit fetishists to take part?'.

OhHolyJesus · 06/08/2019 16:10

Thanks Arnold sorry my other post is waaay down thread and that's pretty much the phrasing of my question. I asked it several times and I know I wasn't the only one as I was told a small group of people had enquired about the same thing.

I don't think I'm going to get anyway with the organisers and I was directed to them via the council so do I go to my MP next?

ArnoldWhatshisknickers · 06/08/2019 16:22

MP is always worth a try, even if they are of the hopelessly woke variety. It might not get you anywhere but at least it puts the matter on the radar in terms of 'things constituents care about'.

2BthatUnnoticed · 21/08/2019 05:20

Look at the main adult’s face (eyes) and “dog pose” hands. And at how avidly the others are watching.

SophoclesTheFox · 21/08/2019 07:10

Jesus, 2B, where is that image from?

Utterly disturbing.

Had a good re-read of this thread this morning, and am musing over this comment from upthread, which is interesting.

People who have erotic target location errors, like believing the best sex partners are the cartoons they watched as kids, or who think it's sexy to be diapered and changed, are often surprisingly unobservant of their own obvious-to-everyone-else-in-their-lives reluctance to engage in normal human sexual relationships

I think there’s something in that. I don’t give a shit if someone calls me a kink shamer or a pearl clutches, but I genuinely don’t think you get to the point of getting your jollies by dressing up as a dog without something being badly awry in your life, and probably your whole life, not just your sex life.

2BthatUnnoticed · 21/08/2019 08:12

Yes, interesting excerpt - and surely to appear like that at a public, “child-friendly” event - judgement seems a bit off, to put it mildly.

Montreal Pride a week ago, I believe.

Sunkisses · 21/08/2019 11:06

I took a look through this account's tweets and found these pics of them gathering for London Pride. What has a straight couple in fetish bondage clothing got to do with lesbian and gay pride? This is just exhibitionism and boundary breaking for weirdos, plain and simple. Until Pride sorts its act out, it should:

  1. not be held in public places
  2. not be promoted to children, or be called 'family friendly'
  3. not be sponsored by family brands, unless they want to be shamed for what they are supporting

I agree Sunkisses but the argument is that this comes under Queer so is included in the LGBT+ alphabet soup. You and I know this is not ok and definitely not family friendly but I'm struggling to make others in decision making power understand this. Any tips or resources please share as I am taking this further.

DanaPhoenix · 21/08/2019 12:10

This latest photo is repugnant. I saw a comment on twitter (sorry was earlier today can't recall who) that said look at the expression. Hard to do with a mask on but look at the eyes... then look at the body language of the rest of the "litter".

DanaPhoenix · 21/08/2019 12:12

Oh. Good job 2Bthatunnoticed your already on it.

SunsetBeetch · 22/08/2019 08:04

Fionne Orlander tweeted about this yesterday. She got a lot of backlash from people who couldn't see the problem with a child patting a fetish pup.

How are countries less accepting of LGBT people going to progress while the west spews out these images?

"This is deeply sad & worrisome.
This is something new to me.
I'm shaken by it. t.co/4MyMIV3ZDD "

Oh and of course there was this:

"The same thing happened at Rhinda Pride. And a local MP was quite happy with it, from the looks of it! t.co/VloO3YljWQ "

(That should be Rhonda Pride.)

GrimDamnFanjo · 22/08/2019 08:15

Chris Bryant MP - what a surprise! Friend knew him back when he was a Councillor in Hackney - google the Mark Trotter inquiry...

SunsetBeetch · 22/08/2019 08:28

Oh gosh, seems Chris Bryant is a VERY shady character. Hownis he still an MP???

GrimDamnFanjo · 22/08/2019 08:34

He doesn't talk much about his time in Hackney when he was Chief Whip. It was a shambles.

koshkat · 22/08/2019 08:44

Fionne is such an ally to women. He keeps calling out this shit. Pleased that he is on spinster too.

Terfnserf · 22/08/2019 08:50

Do the parents of the little girl not realise she is being used as a prop in a man's fetish? I have actually talked about this picture with an otherwise intelligent family member, who also didn't really get it until I explained it.
I noted on Twitter comments from gay men in countries where there are no gay rights, these type of images do not help their cause.

OldCrone · 22/08/2019 08:53

I posted about Rhondda pride on this thread.
www.mumsnet.com/Talk/womens_rights/3661972-furries-gimp-masks-at-surrey-pride

The organisers wanted to make it family friendly by keeping the fetishists away.

SunsetBeetch · 22/08/2019 13:10

The grovelling apologies, OldCrone ! What the heck is going on? Men seem to be fighting very hard for their sexual rights.

applepineapple · 22/08/2019 21:10

The same group will also be at Reading and Gloucester Prides according to their Twitter

Both Reading and Gloucester also claim to be 'family friendly' events Hmm

I think maybe a lot of people don't really understand much about fetishes.
