Why can’t transgender lesbians just date each other?

Hithere12 · 17/06/2019 01:41

I keep seeing online transgender women so angry a female lesbian doesn’t want to date someone trans, but it begs the question why can’t they just date each other?

If they genuinely believe a trans woman is without question a woman and they are attracted to women then surely this would solve all their problems in terms of finding a partner? They could just date each other? Unless they don’t want to date trans women because they don’t see trans women as real women? Hmm Confused

But they get so sad if you don’t feed them (just like my children between meals)

Roombas? Sharks? Or pets? Or other creatures that live in Norway that are sometimes rumoured to like bridges? Or men from AHA?

Bernard, I have to say though, that for lyrics, you may have Morten level skills! (says another who thinks Morten has great cheekbones - loved him in that Masked Singer competition)

knittingaddict · 13/02/2023 13:36

Now back to robots and AHA.

Helleofabore · 13/02/2023 13:41

This is a way to combine your love for Morten the Roomba AND pets!

So, has anyone got a world record entry for cats on Roombas going yet? I think it is needed.

Again, I don’t care if you think I’m a man. That matters nothing to me. I’m not trying to instruct you into how to properly be a woman. I’m not trying to do that with my words, behavior, or a penis.

At this point, i’m here to just support you, accept you, hopefully learn something new and maybe make some new friends. I don’t think that respect, care for others, or a willingness to engage in constructive dialogue is a feminine or masculine trait. If anything, I think it’s just called good character.

It was you who mis-spoke. You referred to your self as a lad here trying to support people. I never misgendered you. You’re the one who referred to yourself as ‘a lad’. Either your algorithm or your brain now cannot explain your error and must either be evasive or derisory, because your error identifies the fault in your program or the fault in your identity as you would have us believe.
also you still keep trying to speak English and appear educated, but you don’t seem to be able to do it.

Haha! Definitely not dead.

I would apologise to all FWR lesbians for derailing a thread about lesbians to talk about a male heartthrob, but then I remembered it’s a thread about men who say they are lesbians, so I’m fine.

... and I apologise for bringing up hoovers.
Still it’s better than half the Veronica tripe that fills this thread, eh.

My cats don't ride on my robot vacuum, but they do like to start it up. In the middle of the night. That's a helluva thing to be woken up by...

Baldieheid · 13/02/2023 12:44

I could happily talk about Morten and Mags aaaaaaaalllll day. Don't apologise. I'm sitting here idly dreaming about beautiful memories of men in double denim, with cheekbones you could slice cheese with.

Phwoarrrrt

I just feel old! Not phrroowaarrr.

ShireWifeofNigelFarage · 13/02/2023 14:06

I wish my cats had wanted to ride around on Morten.

However they were both rather senior by the time Morten arrived (currently 16 and 21) and preferred to pretend to ignore the thing entirely.

Do you name all your household appliances? Or just the ones that move?

I have to admit to having a thing for Mars Rivers at this point, because they seem to have a character and a life, as nuts as that sounds.

Morten the vacuum cleaner is making me have pages for wanting a useful robotic pet around the house...

do you mean Mars Rovers @Red?

if so, I totally get it. Especially as NASA tweet on their behalf in the first person

IcakethereforeIam · 13/02/2023 14:39

We've got a name for our clothes maiden, Brian, and he doesn't move unless I move him. He's our third, but the first of that name.

Morten is the only appliance to have a human name, although I am steadfast in using the ‘it’ pronoun for it.

We have quite a number of odd names and phrases for other household things (eg the old coal hole is always referred to as ‘limbo’ pizza crusts are called ‘bones’)

Evidentially, my fam would be utterly shit at teaching a chat bot to communicate!

Our dim witted Eufy robot vacuum is called Herbert, not very original but it seems to suit him.

Yes mars rovers. I obviously have fat fingers.

I feel I need to join robot club after this thread

Out dim wit of a Hoover we called BeeGee after Gordon Brown. We didn’t want him to see GB on the telly and get offended.

ShireWifeofNigelFarage · 13/02/2023 15:11

If your new robot hoovers rise up and attack after downloading the sinister human-hating material Han and Sophie seem to be depositing in The Cloud, it’s not MY fault.

ProstheticConscience · 13/02/2023 15:55

Good grief is dear old Verrony still going?
Having still not been arsed to read V's posts, I gather from everyone else that that jury's out on the bot theory, and Morten H is not dead but Morten the roomba is?
Any update on my theory about V being on wheels?

SinnerBoy · 13/02/2023 16:01

Blimey, so Ronny is a teacher, which is quite disturbing, given the poor punctuation, lack of capitalisation and the use of phrases such as "you all."

RaininginDarling · 13/02/2023 16:06

Well, that's not what I was expecting.

Fascinating thread on the chatbot and it’s potential to affect school work over in secondary education:

www.fastcompany.com/90844066/chatgpt-write-performance-reviews-sexist-and-racist
We asked ChatGPT to write performance reviews and they are wildly sexist (and racist)
Textio’s cofounder Kieran Snyder observes that it takes so little for ChatGPT to start baking gendered assumptions into otherwise highly generic feedback.

I read this the other day and found it scary. Its one for another thread really but since we are on the subject I thought it worth sharing here too.

The degree to which sexism is baked into online content / programming is frightening. Bots aren't feminist. Nor probably lesbian.

I was obsessed with Morton (Harket) from around the ages of 8 to 16. Then it gradually dawned that I’m more interested in women in ‘that’ way. I still have all my old A-ha CDs though … 🥰

When I was 8 my friend Jennifer had Morten Harket posters all over her walls and she was obsessed with AHA. Then I moved. Whenever Morten comes up in conversation, I think of her. Weirdly. And wonder what happened to her. (In a completely innocent way).

The only other person I think of their poster on their walls as a kid was my friend Charlotte. I was 3 (!) and she apparently liked Adam Ant. Even more weird.

So Morten and Adam do hold a special place in my heart. Its funny what you remember...

If your name in Jennifer and you lived in middle of boringness NW england in the 80s and your birthday is in July and you were born late 70s, a big hello. I doubt Charlotte remembers....
